Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Test Ninja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rosen Strasser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ninja comes into the arena with Super Bon Bon - Soul Coughing blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Test Ninja! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rosen Strasser! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Daniel Cesar and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ninja gets a double leg takedown into Strasser's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ninja wants to control from the top but Strasser keeps moving. Strasser keeping full guard, as Ninja tries to pass. Ninja seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Ninja cracks Strasser with a solid left hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Strasser keeping moving, preventing Ninja from controlling successfully. Ninja is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Strasser is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Ninja postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ninja trying to control but Strasser is working from the bottom. Ninja passes Strasser's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Strasser tries to get to full guard but Ninja has control of the leg. Ninja missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Strasser is refusing to be controlled, as Ninja sits in half guard. Ninja thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ninja is pressing down on Strasser's thigh, looking to free his foot. Strasser is holding on for now. Ninja is looking to take a break and control but Strasser is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Ninja is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Strasser defends it well. Strasser is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Strasser is not content to let Ninja control the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Strasser cracks Ninja with an open hand slap. Strasser scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Ninja tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Some wild striking there from Strasser.
Ninja is looking to counter punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ninja goes for a double leg but Strasser avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Strasser continues to drive forward. Strasser sizes up Ninja with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Strasser stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Strasser wants it to stay on the feet. Strasser stuffs a takedown. and Ninja counters with a series of strikes. Strasser will be more careful next time no doubt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ninja dives in and grabs Strasser's left leg, looking for a takedown. Strasser pushes down on Ninja's head and hops out. A nice combination there by Ninja.
Ninja has a takedown stuffed. Ninja shoots in for a takedown but Strasser shows good takedown defense.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A good leg kick by Strasser. Ninja looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Strasser lands a high kick!
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Strasser. Ninja shrugs it off though. Ninja takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Strasser connects with a body shot that sends Ninja's belly button to the back. Strasser bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ninja's head backwards. Strasser dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Both fighters circling a little - Strasser finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Strasser throws a head kick that Ninja semi-blocks.
A head kick from Strasser lands but Ninja takes it in his stride. A nice inside leg kick there by Strasser. That's going to slow Ninja down. Ninja takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Strasser goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Strasser throws a head kick but Ninja moves out of range.
As Strasser looks to move away, Ninja throws a big counter combo but Strasser just gets out of the way. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rosen Strasser dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ninja shoots for a takedown but Strasser saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Strasser has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Strasser catches Ninja with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Strasser ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Strasser goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Strasser moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Strasser displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ninja. Strasser goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ninja gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Strasser scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Ninja shoots in looking for a takedown but Strasser manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ninja's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Test Ninja. That's going to take a lot out of him. Strasser lands with a cross. Rosen Strasser seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strasser lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Ninja drives through with a takedown into Strasser's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Ninja controlling from the top position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ninja won't allow Strasser to sweep him here. Ninja has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ninja accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ninja working some strikes from top position. Strasser looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ninja is one step ahead there. Ninja drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Strasser manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ninja has Strasser in his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ninja throws his legs up looking for a submission but Strasser uses it to pass to side control.
Ninja wants to control but Strasser postures up. Ninja tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Strasser wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Ninja might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ninja can't do much from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strasser wants to control but Ninja is keeping him busy. Strasser working away. Ninja is looking for a sweep. Strasser trying to control the position but Ninja is working away. Strasser stands up. Strasser darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Strasser has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ninja wants to clinch. Strasser throws out a counter right but Ninja avoids it with no problem. Strasser connects with a solid leg kick. Strasser lands a jab-cross combination. Ninja fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Strasser closes the distance and lands a one-two. Strasser dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Strasser throws a quick inside leg kick. Strasser shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Ninja eats them both and turns towards Strasser to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rosen Strasser showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real. Strasser tries a head kick but it misses.
Strasser stuffs the takedown attempt from Ninja. Ninja gets slowly back to his feet. Strasser throws a right and a left that Ninja avoids nicely. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Ninja shoots for a double leg takedown but Strasser sprawls well. He's pushed Ninja's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Test Ninja. That's going to take a lot out of him. Strasser throws a wild combination but nothing lands. It looked like Ninja was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Strasser scores with a spinning back kick! A combination from Strasser does no damage. Strasser is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Strasser ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Ninja walks into a left hand. Decent striking displayed by Strasser there. Rosen Strasser is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Strasser throws a leg kick which misses Ninja's front leg but catches the back leg as Ninja tries to avoid it. Strasser lands a head shot. Rosen Strasser is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Strasser slaps away a takedown attempt from Ninja, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Strasser, right into the meat.
Strasser fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ninja looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Rosen Strasser seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ninja darts in looking for a takedown but Strasser gets double underhooks and turns Ninja into the cage. Ninja is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Strasser cracks Ninja with a right hand to the side of the head. Ninja takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Strasser paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Strasser scores with a decent looking hook. Strasser thumps Ninja with a low kick. Strasser looks to land a combination. Ninja sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Strasser throws a body punch but Ninja moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Strasser - that will leave a mark!
Strasser connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ninja. Ninja circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Ninja shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Strasser counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Strasser connects with a single shot there. Strasser lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Strasser throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Ninja's head. Ninja doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Ninja is trying hard to land a takedown here. Strasser sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ninja on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Strasser. Strasser obviously looking to wear him down.

and Ninja counters with a one-two to the body. Ninja will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Strasser lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ninja backs up against the cage.

Strasser defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ninja. Strasser lands a right hook to the body.
Strasser throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Ninja on the side of the head. Ninja has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Strasser. Ninja steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Strasser. That one must have hurt. Strasser displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Ninja. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ninja takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
And that's the end of the fight! Rosen Strasser comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Strasser winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
