Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Veikko Susi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie fails with the takedown
letting Susi counter with a right hand.
Susi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gracie wants to clinch but Susi slips to the side
and Susi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
A right-left combo lands from Susi.
Gracie darts in trying to clinch
and Susi counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Susi looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gracie fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gracie takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Gracie doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
As Gracie looks to move away, Susi throws a big counter combo but Gracie just gets out of the way.
Susi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Susi is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Susi counters with a stiff right hand.
Veikko Susi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Gracie.

Gracie tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Susi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Anderson Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Susi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Gracie looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Susi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Gracie throws a lazy head kick
letting Susi counter with a right hand.
Gracie shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Susi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Susi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Gracie accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Gracie slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Susi is pulling down on Gracie's head to control his posture.
Susi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Susi pulls Gracie in close to his closed guard and prevents Gracie from doing any damage or advancing position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Susi darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Susi connects with a single shot there.
Gracie takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Gracie misses with a body shot
and Susi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Susi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Gracie has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Susi finds it's way round the side to connect with Gracie's head.
Susi is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Susi lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Susi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Susi fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Gracie takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Gracie takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Nice body punch from Susi.
Gracie gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Susi.
Susi jabs Gracie to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Gracie looks winded!
Susi lands a slapping body shot.
Susi cracks a nice hook into Gracie's ribs.
Susi connects with a body shot.
Gracie on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A left lands for Susi.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Susi throws out a powerful jab.

Susi thuds his right hand into Gracie's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Veikko Susi dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Susi lunges at Gracie with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Gracie's hand.
Susi scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Gracie takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Susi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Gracie can do to turn this around?
Susi fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gracie on the side of the head.
Gracie throws a combination that misses
and Susi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

letting Susi counter with a right hand.
Gracie shoots and misses
and Susi counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Susi scores with a crisp jab that stopped Gracie in his tracks.
Gracie takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Susi counters with a straight right hand.
Susi circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Gracie to the canvas! Gracie doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Susi keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
