Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Ervin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Kostner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ervin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 3 Seconds to Freedom by Pop Evil. Kostner has chosen Rick Springfield- Jessies girl as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Ervin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Kostner! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Kostner misses. A combination from Kostner does no damage. Ervin tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kostner swivels and escapes. Kostner throws a series of strikes that have Ervin backpedaling.
Kostner misses with a double jab.
Good leg kick by Kostner there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kostner wants to clinch up but Ervin keeps it at a distance. Ervin fails with a takedown attempt. Kostner looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kostner is looking to clinch. Kostner clinches up against the cage. Kostner jumps guard but Ervin stands there with Kostner around his waist. Kostner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Kostner can't break the clinch.
Kostner breaks from the clinch.
Ervin drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ervin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kostner tries to land a sweep but no joy. Ervin wants to stand but Kostner is controlling his posture from full guard. Ervin looking to pass the guard. Ervin trying to control but Kostner is working from the bottom. Kostner throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Kostner wants to get back to his feet but Ervin is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ervin looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Ervin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kostner throws a series of punches but Ervin avoids them all with ease. Kostner gets a takedown into half guard. Ervin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Ervin looking for a sweep. Not yet Ervin, not yet. Ervin working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kostner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kostner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ervin is breathing heavily. Kostner is looking to work some ground and pound but Ervin has wrist control. Kostner trying to control but Ervin is working from the bottom. Ervin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kostner with a flurry of punches that miss. Ervin wants to sweep but no luck. Ervin has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Kostner off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Kostner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ervin circles away. Max Kostner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kostner feints and as Ervin raises his hands in defense, Kostner changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kostner wants to control from the top but Ervin keeps moving. Ervin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kostner manages to get himself to full guard.
Kostner is trying to control the position but Ervin postures up. Kostner is looking to stand back up but Ervin counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kostner. Ervin throws a strike aimed at the side of Kostner's head but Kostner avoids it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ervin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kostner is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Ervin off and has taken his back! Ervin is in bad spot here.
Ervin breaks Kostner's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Ervin is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Ervin is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kostner is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kostner has escaped and now he's on top! Kostner pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ervin is keeping the position for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Max Kostner will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Ervin has his takedown stuffed and Kostner counters by clinching up. Kostner fails to pull the fight into his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kostner wants to control from the top but Ervin keeps moving. Kostner makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Ervin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ervin had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Kostner is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Ervin Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Kostner's back instead. Kostner can't escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kostner trying to get back to his feet but Ervin is in full control for now. Kostner is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Kostner is breathing heavily. Ervin lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ervin looking for the choke from the back. Kostner is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Kostner is trying to get back to his feet but Ervin has full control of the position and if anything, Kostner has just worked his way into a worse spot. Ervin looking for the RNC. Kostner manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. Marcus Ervin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kostner closes the distance and clinches. Kostner wants a takedown but no success here.
Ervin blocks a body shot from Kostner. Ervin pulls Kostner into guard.
Kostner wants to stand but Ervin is controlling his posture from full guard. Ervin is pulling down on Kostner's head. It's preventing any offense from Kostner, at least for the moment. Ervin throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kostner uses it to pass to side control.
Ervin tries to buck Kostner off but Kostner is having none of it. Kostner creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Ervin sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ervin is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Kostner working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Kostner taking a break here but Ervin is having none of it and regains half guard. It looks like Kostner is going to stand back up.
Kostner decides to stand up. Kostner tries to clinch up but Ervin circles away and keeps his distance. Ervin tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kostner makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kostner fails with the takedown. Marcus Ervin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Kostner. Kostner tries to clinch but Ervin moves away so Ervin counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ervin tries to free his leg and advance position but Kostner is retaining full guard. Ervin thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Kostner keeping moving, preventing Ervin from controlling successfully. Kostner wants to sweep here but Ervin controlling him for the moment. Ervin won't allow Kostner to get back to his feet. Ervin advances to half guard. Ervin thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Kostner tries to get to full guard but Ervin has control of the leg.

Marcus Ervin dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Ervin tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Kostner clinches but Ervin breaks the clinch and Ervin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Kostner! Ervin working away from the top, dropping strikes. Kostner working to try and regain half guard.
Ervin lands with some strikes. Ervin is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Kostner is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Kostner flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ervin anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Kostner and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ervin slips an arm under Kostner chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ervin has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ervin is squeezing on Kostner like an anaconda would it's prey. Kostner fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Marcus Ervin!
