Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Erikson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robbie Rose! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hans Erikson! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ron Honeybunn and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Erikson takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Hans Erikson has been cut. Rose looks to throw a body kick and Erikson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rose's guard. Erikson stays in close to Rose's body and controls the position. Rose is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Erikson defends well. Rose bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Erikson's guard. Rose wants to get up but he can't break Erikson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Erikson pulls Rose in close to his closed guard and prevents Rose from doing any damage or advancing position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Erikson keeping full guard, as Rose tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rose wants to stand and escape but instead Erikson has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Erikson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Erikson works over Rose with some ground and pound from guard. Erikson tries to free his leg and advance position but Rose is retaining full guard. Rose has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Erikson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rose is trying to control the position but Erikson postures up. Rose wants to stand and escape but Erikson is having none of it. Erikson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Erikson passes easily into side control. Nice work. Rose avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Erikson. Erikson passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Rose! The referee warns Rose that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Erikson cracks Rose with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Erikson is in the full mount, landing strikes. Erikson content just to control the position here. It looks like Erikson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Erikson is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Rose can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Erikson looking to control and managing it successfully. Erikson raining down shots from the mount! Erikson looking to finish Rose with some ground and pound. This is bad for Rose! Erikson landing punches. Erikson looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Erikson controlling from mount. Erikson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's four minutes gone in the round. Erikson is in the full mount, landing strikes. Erikson content just to control the position here. Erikson avoids the attempt from Rose to control. Erikson controlling his opponent. Let's hope that Erikson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Erikson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hans Erikson dominated that round. The cut man is working on Hans Erikson's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rose's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Rose duly obliges. Erikson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rose but Rose pushes him off and we're back to square one. Rose slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Robbie Rose is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Erikson looks to score with a jab to the body but Rose is just out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Rose.
Rose lands a jab to Erikson's midsection. Rose gets caught flat footed, as Erikson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Erikson scoring with punches to the head and body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erikson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Erikson wants to control from the top but Rose keeps moving. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rose is on top in guard.
Erikson is pulling down on Rose's head to control his posture. Erikson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rose is one step ahead there. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Erikson can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Erikson controlling Rose's posture. Erikson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hans Erikson has got the better of the ground game so far. Erikson is still trying to improve position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Erikson holds on and takes a little breather. Rose wanted to stand there but Erikson had control of the position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A head kick from Rose lands but Erikson takes it in his stride.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Rose is trying hard to land a takedown here. Erikson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Erikson feints the counter takedown. Erikson blocks a head kick by Rose.
Erikson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Erikson stops Rose from standing up. Erikson landing with the ground and pound. Erikson is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Erikson chips away with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robbie Rose dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Hans Erikson's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Rose fails with an attempt to clinch.
Erikson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rose to the ground. Erikson is now in Rose's guard. Rose is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Erikson is controlling him. Erikson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Erikson with a flurry of punches that miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Erikson postures up and lands a big shot to Rose's brow. Erikson sitting in guard here, content to control. Rose wants to get back to his feet but Erikson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Erikson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Rose tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Erikson wants to counter the offense by Rose and move into the clinch position. Rose with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Erikson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Erikson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rose keeps working. Rose is trying to get back to half guard. Erikson controlling from side mount. The ground and pound from Erikson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Erikson landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Erikson scoring with punches and elbows. Erikson scores with a couple of short elbows. Erikson cracks Rose with a big right hand but Rose just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Erikson works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Erikson looks up at the clock and then as Rose takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Erikson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Erikson lands a few punches from side control. Erikson scores with punches from side control. Rose takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
This has been an exciting period of action! Erikson controlling the position. Erikson working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Erikson just content to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Erikson is continuing to stall. Erikson is chipping away with strikes.
Rose is trying to control Erikson's posture but Erikson avoids it. Erikson staying calm. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Erikson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. You can see the frustration on Rose's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Erikson working the head and body with strikes. Erikson landing a few strikes. Erikson takes a little break here. Rose wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Rose is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Erikson taking a breather here. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
And that's the end of the fight! Hans Erikson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Erikson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
