Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gary Grice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Annibal Hector (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grice comes to the cage accompanied by GZA - Shadowboxin'. Hector is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Country Boy. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Annibal Hector enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
13 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Gary Grice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
21 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Annibal Hector!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Lou da Vinci and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grice throws a front kick aimed at Hector's knee but Hector avoids it well.
As Grice backs off Hector throws a huge counter combo but Grice manages to avoid it all.
Hector thuds a left hand into Grice's body.
Grice scoring well with a low kick there.
Grice throws a push kick but Hector slaps the foot to one side.
Grice thuds his shin into the meat of Hector's side.
Grice fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Grice definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Grice misses with an uppercut. Hector saw that one coming.
Grice defending well as Hector loads up on a big left hand.
Some bone on bone action there as Hector checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Grice misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hector.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hector avoids the body shot from Grice.
Grice closes the distance and pushes Hector back into the cage.
Grice throws a punch but it's blocked by Hector.
Hector blocks a punch to the side of the head.

A body shot lands from Grice.
Grice looking for a takedown.
Grice lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hector backwards.
Grice misses with the head strike.
Hector stalling in the clinch.
Hector lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

A bit of stalling here from Hector.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Grice's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

and Hector cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Hector pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Grice misses with a low kick.
Grice throws a sloppy head kick and Hector moves out of range easily.

Nice shot lands for Grice.
Hector tries to clinch up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grice fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hector has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nice uppercut there from Grice.
The fight stays on the outside here - Grice looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Grice connects with a leg kick. Hector looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Grice looks to land a left hand but Hector moved out of range nicely.
Hector lands a high kick!
Hector moves away from the strike by Grice.
Hector looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Hector clinches.
A head punch on the inside from Grice fails to land.

Hector stalling.
Hector is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
The crowd are getting on Hector's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Grice has Hector pushed against the cage.
Grice is trying to break free.
Grice makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Grice tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hector dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Grice swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Grice misses with some punches.
Grice goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Grice lands a hook to the side of the head.
Grice breaks the clinch.
Grice throws a solid leg kick but Hector takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Grice.
Grice swings widly with a right hand
and Hector counters with a left to the body.
A low kick from Grice misses
and Hector counters with a left and a right that stings Grice.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Grice throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Grice wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Hector checks a leg kick.
Gary Grice is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hector throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hector lands a jab to the head.
Grice tries to land a front kick but Hector steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Hector throws out a loose jab but Grice uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gary Grice dominated that round.
That's time! Grice's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Grice connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Hector checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Grice lands a body shot.
Hector throws a lazy right hand but Grice sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gary Grice seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hector gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Grice lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Grice escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Grice misses with a looping left.
Grice dips to his left and cracks Hector with an uppercut!
Hector is rocked!
Hector drops his hands momentarily and Grice needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Hector just on the top of the head. Hector drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Hector - he's done!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Gary Grice!
Gary Grice decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
