The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staalnacke lands a jab to Baker's midsection.
Staalnacke throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Baker counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Staalnacke!
Staalnacke wants to get back to his feet but Baker drags him back down.

Baker tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Baker has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Staalnacke is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Baker is controlling him well.
Baker swings around for an armbar but Staalnacke sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Baker's guard.
Staalnacke has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Baker is proving hard to escape from.

Staalnacke wants to get up but he can't break Baker's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Baker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Staalnacke tries to kick Baker off but Baker keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Baker has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Staalnacke defend it? Baker steps over the head and cranks it - Staalnacke is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Baker!
