Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Al Pacino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pheling Medick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pacino comes into the arena with Oyo Como Va blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pheling Medick! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pacino rushes Medick and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Medick throws a punch but it's blocked by Pacino. A frustrated look appears on Pacino's face as he tries to break the clinch. Medick throws a punch but it's blocked by Pacino. Pacino avoiding damage.
Pacino tries to pull guard but Medick holds him up against the cage and eventually Pacino drops back down to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pacino wants to take the fight to the mat but Medick manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Al Pacino. That's going to take a lot out of him. Medick swings wildly with an uppercut but Pacino uses good head movement to avoid it. Medick misses with a punch on the inside.

Pacino tries to break the clinch but Medick is controlling the position. Medick throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pacinos head. Pacino tries to pull guard but Medick holds him up against the cage and eventually Pacino drops back down to his feet.

You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Pacino has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Medick tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Medick rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pacino moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Pacino gets a takedown into half guard. Medick looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Medick actively working from the bottom here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Medick is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pacino pulls his head out easily. Medick looking for submissions off his back. Pacino sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Medick actively working from the bottom here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pacino stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Medick throws out a loose jab but Pacino uses good head movement to avoid it. Pacino shoots in and gets a takedown into Medick's guard. Medick looking for subs off his back but Pacino has passed one foot through into half guard.
Medick looks winded! Pacino takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Pacino knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Medick on the ground.

Pacino is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Medick working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pacino doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pacino manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pacino is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Medick looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Pacino content to stall in guard here. Pacino postures up in Medick's guard and throws a big left but Medick blocks it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Pheling Medick will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Pacino darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Pacino is taking a breather. Medick says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Medick looking for submissions off his back. Pacino perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Pacino is working for a kimura but Medick is defending it quite comfortably.
Al Pacino overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Medick looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pacino content to control rather than advance.

Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Medick looking for submissions off his back. Medick looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Medick wants to get back to full guard. Pacino is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Medick looking for subs from the bottom but Pacino mounts him! Medick is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pacino unloads with some shots from mount but Medick bucks and avoids them well.
Pacino throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Pacino looking to control and managing it successfully. Pacino seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Medick for as long as he can get away with. Pacino is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Medick can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Medick is trying to reverse the position but instead Pacino has taken his back - oops! Medick can't escape the position.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Pacino is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Medick defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.

Medick connects with a single shot there. Medick tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pacino manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Al Pacino seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pacino wants to clinch. A little jabbing left from Medick on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. A big right from Medick misses. Al Pacino is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Medick has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Pacino should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Medick has tightened it up now! Pacino should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
