Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Greg Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Socket Extender (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Extender comes into a darkened arena with his song building. BOOM! kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Greg Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Socket Extender! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Dillan Fox and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith forces Extender back against the cage and clinches. Smith scores a nice knee to the body.
Extender misses with the head strike.
Smith lands an elbow inside.
It looks like Socket Extender has been cut. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Extender. Smith blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A short right from Smith on the inside. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Extender has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Smith is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Extender looks winded! Extender takes a knee to the side of the body. Smith lands with a short shot to the head. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Smith creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Smith with a knee to the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Smith lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Extender backwards. Smith lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. The referee is keeping an eye on Smith - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Smith connects with a nasty looking knee right to Extender's face.
Smith scores with an uppercut up the middle. Smith lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Smith works on Extender's body with a couple of short punches. Smith lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith stalls. Smith has Extender pressed against the cage.
Smith gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Smith is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Smith controlling the action here for a moment.
Smith lands a damaging elbow.
That has opened up Socket Extender's cut even more. Smith landing knees to the head.
A nice right hand lands inside from Smith. I was talking to Smith's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Smith is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Smith lands with a short head shot on the inside. A quick uppercut on the inside from Smith.
Extender is rocked! Smith drops Extender with a big knee straight up the middle! Extender is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet! Extender is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
The cut above Socket Extender's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smith steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Extender is out on his feet! Smith sets himself and nearly takes Extender's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Greg Smith! An out of breath Greg Smith thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
