Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, George Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Masahiko Kimura!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimura is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jackson.


It looks like Masahiko Kimura has been cut.
Jackson misses with a double jab.
Kimura drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jackson defends it well.

Kimura gets tackled into the cage by Jackson. Jackson maintains the clinch.
Kimura is looking to take this one to the mat.
Jackson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kimuras head.

Jackson with a knee to the head.
Jackson lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Kimura drops down looking for an ankle pick but Jackson pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jackson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kimura shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Jackson throws a push kick but Kimura slaps the foot to one side.
Kimura looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kimura dodges the punch combination from Jackson.

Jackson fails to land with a series of punches.
Jackson with a nice cross.
Jackson takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Jackson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Jackson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A countering left hand to the body from Kimura misses.
Jackson lands a lovely overhand right.
Kimura showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jackson.
Jackson throws a right hand that Kimura ducks under and follows up with a left that Kimura also avoids with ease.
Jackson misses with a double jab.
Kimura drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jackson defends it well.
Jackson lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Jackson.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jackson throws a series of punches but Kimura avoids them all with ease.
Kimura showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jackson.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kimura! But no joy.
Jackson swings for the body but Kimura moves out of range.
Danga de danga de dang - Jackson scores with a four punch combination!


That has opened up Masahiko Kimura's cut even more.
Jackson throws a shot from downtown. Kimura moves away and avoids it.
Kimura drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jackson defends it well.
Jackson throws a predictable looking body shot

and Kimura counters with a shoot takedown. Jackson fights it but they end up in guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Kimura pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jackson is keeping the position for now.
Kimura trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Kimura thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Kimura stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jackson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kimura trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom.
Kimura pushes down on Jackson's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Kimura is looking to advance position but Jackson won't allow it.
Jackson is not content to let Kimura control the position.
Kimura wants to advance to full mount but Jackson doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kimura trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Kimura trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Kimura wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
Jackson pulls Kimura in to control the position.
Jackson wants to sweep here but Kimura controlling him for the moment.
Jackson keeping full guard, as Kimura tries to pass.
Jackson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kimura manages to get himself to full guard.

Jackson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George Jackson dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Masahiko Kimura's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Jackson scores with a nice body kick.
Kimura's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Jackson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kimura scrambles back to his feet.
Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kimura slips under a jab from Jackson.
Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kimura drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Jackson defends it well.
Kimura misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Jackson stalks Kimura and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kimura's face. Kimura staggers backwards, shaken.

Kimura is rocked!


The cut above Masahiko Kimura's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Jackson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Jackson tests Kimura's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kimura is still on wobbly legs! Can Jackson finish him?
Jackson darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Jackson forces Kimura back against the cage and clinches.
Kimura is working for takedown but Jackson is calmly controlling the position for now.
Kimura seems to have recovered his senses.
Jackson misses with a knee to the head.
Kimura drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jackson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
George Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Masahiko Kimura.
Kimura jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jackson walks away with a smile on his face. Kimura gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jackson cracks Kimura with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jackson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Kimura to stand back up!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson lands with a shot to the body.
Jackson tries to bum rush Kimura with a series of wild strikes but Kimura uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jackson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Jackson throws a right hand that Kimura ducks under and follows up with a left that Kimura also avoids with ease.
Jackson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kimura manages to avoid it.
Jackson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Jackson clinches.
Jackson prevents the takedown attempt.
Jackson connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kimura's face.


Masahiko Kimura's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

Jackson lands a left hand.

Jackson drops Kimura with a big knee straight up the middle! Kimura is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Masahiko Kimura's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). George Jackson!
