Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Harry Poppins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Bear The Scars by Stampin' Ground. Poppins has chosen Mama Said Knock You Out as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poppins lands a big shot that drops Smith! Can he finish him?
Smith is rocked!
It looks like Sammy Smith has been cut.
Smith wants to improve his position but instead Poppins has moved into half guard.
Oh Smith is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Smith is looking for a sweep. Poppins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Still in half guard, Poppins seems content to control.
Smith seems to have got his legs back now.
Smith tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Poppins manages to move to mount!
Poppins controlling the pace for now.

Smith tries to reverse the position but Poppins maintains control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Despite being in the dominant position, Harry Poppins just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Smith lands a jab to the nose.
A solid leg kick lands there for Poppins.
Poppins clinches up against the cage.
Poppins lands a knee to the head.
Poppins breaks from the clinch.
Poppins rushes Smith and presses him up against the cage.
Knees to the body from Poppins.
Smith is breathing heavily.
Poppins pushes Smith back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Poppins breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Poppins gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Poppins works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Poppins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Poppins and Smith goes tumbling to the canvas! Poppins follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Poppins is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Poppins stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Smith to get to his feet.
Poppins keeps Smith at a distance using the push kick.
Smith tries to keep at a distance but Poppins has taken the fight into the clinch.
Poppins lands a left hand that snaps the head of Smith backwards.
Poppins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Poppins has taken the fight to the clinch.
Poppins lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Poppins lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A body shot lands from Poppins.
Poppins with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Poppins manages to break the clinch.
Harry Poppins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Poppins moves into range and clinches up with Smith.
Poppins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Smith shoots in but Poppins avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Poppins feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Smith sprawling to the canvas! Smith rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Poppins finish him?!
Poppins lands a brutal uppercut that launches Smith off his feet! Smith tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Harry Poppins!
