Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clay Glover! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aslanbek Kiruev! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Glover dodges the punch combination from Kiruev.
Glover darts in and clinches Kiruev up against the cage. Come on Glover - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Kiruev is trying to pull guard but Glover turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Kiruev working hard to break the clinch. Glover really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Glover breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kiruev throws a series of strikes that have Glover backpedaling.
It looks like Clay Glover has been cut. Kiruev misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kiruev fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Kiruev looks winded! Some wild striking there from Kiruev.
That's one minute gone in the round. Glover drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Glover has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Kiruev misses with a few strikes there.
Aslanbek Kiruev is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kiruev throws a series of punches but Glover moves out of range. Glover shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kiruev napping and manages to drive through into side control! Glover just content to control the position. Glover decides to stand back up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Glover fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kiruev sprawls well initially but Glover persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Glover in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Kiruev tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Glover!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Clay Glover! In defeat, Aslanbek Kiruev stepped up to the mic, saying 'Извините за мою проигрыш я постараюсь стать лучше'.
