The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blevins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Masters scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Blevins is looking for a sweep.

Masters wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Blevins, who protects the arm well.

Masters looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Masters tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Masters has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Masters is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Blevins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Masters is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Blevins has escaped the position, nice work there.
Blevins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Masters has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Blevins is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Masters yanks on the arm and Blevins is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Masters.
