Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Pitfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Sberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pitfield's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, All Against All by The Haunted. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Thomas Pitfield! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Carl Sberg! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pitfield closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sberg throws Pitfield to one side and escapes! Pitfield fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sberg lands a nice looking kick to the body. Pitfield takes a step back to recover. Pitfield fails with an attempt to clinch.
Sberg throws a sloppy head kick and Pitfield moves out of range easily. Sberg goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Sberg moves in looking to clinch but Pitfield pushes him off. A head kick misses from Sberg. Sberg tries a head kick but it misses.

Sberg doesn't manage to clinch there - Pitfield circles away.
Sberg wants to clinch and Pitfield counters with a body kick that stops Sberg in his tracks momentarily. Sberg looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Pitfield trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sberg gets to his feet. Pitfield looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Pitfield looks to throw a body kick enabling Sberg to counter with a crisp jab. Pitfield looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sberg is fending him off so far but Pitfield persists. Nope, Sberg circles away and we're back to standing. Sberg looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Pitfield lands with a slapping head kick. Sberg lands a glancing blow to the side of Pitfield's head. Pitfield bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. I wouldn't like to be where Sberg is right now. Pitfield is breathing heavily. Sberg manages to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sberg slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Pitfield wants to pass the guard but Sberg is keeping the position. Sberg keeping moving, preventing Pitfield from controlling successfully. Sberg is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sberg not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sberg seems keen to control Pitfield's posture.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sberg wants to stand and escape but Pitfield is having none of it. Pitfield is working Sberg over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Sberg wants to stand up but Pitfield is controlling him.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sberg stuffs the takedown. Excellent takedown into side control there by Pitfield. Sberg struggling a bit here. Sberg throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sberg throws a head kick but Pitfield moves out of range.
Sberg throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Pitfield misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pitfield changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sberg tries to avoid it but Pitfield manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sberg to the ground. Sberg escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Pitfield. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sberg moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Sberg pushes Pitfield away with a front kick. Sberg lands a front kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sberg misses with a head kick.
Pitfield shoots and misses and Sberg counters with a solid body kick. Sberg misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Carl Sberg will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Sberg tries for a takedown but Pitfield circles away easily and Pitfield counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Sberg is lucky that one didn't land flush. Pitfield moves into the clinch. Sberg wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Pitfield pulls guard effortlessly. Sberg wants to control from the top but Pitfield keeps moving. Pitfield wants to get back to his feet but Sberg is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Pitfield keeping full guard, as Sberg tries to pass. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pitfield has a closed guard, preventing Sberg from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pitfield has his foot on Sberg's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sberg works his way back into a safe position though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pitfield has Sberg pulled in close to control his posture. Sberg tries to free his leg and advance position but Pitfield is retaining full guard. Pitfield lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Sberg! Pitfield tries to control but Sberg wriggling away. Sberg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sberg is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Sberg tries to lock up and control but Pitfield gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sberg tries to buck Pitfield off but Pitfield takes his back! Pitfield scores with punches from the back.
Sberg manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position. Sberg is looking to clinch but Pitfield is avoiding it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sberg tries to clinch but Pitfield is having none of it. Pitfield throws a right and a left that Sberg avoids nicely. Sberg tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Pitfield counters with a single leg into guard. Sberg didn't expect that. Pitfield stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sberg swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sberg trying to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Pitfield looking to pass the guard. Pitfield stopping the sweep attempt from Sberg. Sberg scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Sberg keeps the fight on the outside. Pitfield shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Pitfield showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are battling for position here. Sberg manages to regain full guard. Nice work. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Sberg looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Pitfield throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sberg's waist but Sberg gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pitfield off to one side. Sberg gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Pitfield as Sberg tries to tie him up. Sberg breaks from the clinch.

Sberg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Sberg seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Sberg is trying to control the position but Pitfield postures up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Sberg throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Pitfield throws a series of punches but Sberg avoids them all with ease. Sberg stuffs the takedown. Sberg throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pitfield. Sberg misses with a takedown attempt and Pitfield counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Pitfield keeps control of Sberg as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Sberg jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pitfield walks away with a smile on his face. Sberg gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sberg fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Pitfield, pushing him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pitfield manages to pull guard.
Sberg is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sberg decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Pitfield throws a leg kick that misses. Pitfield avoids the head kick by Sberg.
Pitfield tries to clinch but Sberg is having none of it. Sberg plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Pitfield looks for a takedown but Sberg sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thomas Pitfield. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sberg instigates a clinch. Sberg lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. Pitfield is working for takedown but Sberg is calmly controlling the position for now. Pitfield tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sberg breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sberg lands a high kick!

Sberg throws a push kick but Pitfield slaps the foot to one side. Sberg stuffs the takedown attempt from Pitfield. Pitfield gets slowly back to his feet. Sberg misses with a head kick.
Pitfield misses with a takedown attempt and Sberg counters with a series of strikes. Pitfield will be more careful next time no doubt. Sberg scores with a takedown into Pitfield's guard. Sberg trying to control but Pitfield is working from the bottom. Pitfield looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sberg is one step ahead there.
And that's the end of the fight! Carl Sberg comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Sberg has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
