The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rourke uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Rourke misses with a two punch combination.
Nguyen fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rourke looks to land a combination but Nguyen avoids it well.
Nguyen gets tackled into the cage by Rourke. Rourke maintains the clinch.

Nguyen shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rourke eats them both and turns towards Nguyen to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Nguyen tries to bum rush Rourke with a series of wild strikes but Rourke uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Rourke tries to clinch up but Nguyen circles away and keeps his distance.

Mickey Rourke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rourke rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Nguyen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Rourke tries to score a power double leg takedown but Nguyen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rourke somewhat.

Rourke goes for a double leg but Nguyen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Nguyen continues to drive forward.

Rourke will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Nguyen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Rourke is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Nguyen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Rourke is rocked!
Rourke tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nguyen defends well and Rourke ends up having to push Nguyen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tyan Nguyen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Nguyen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Rourke gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Nguyen gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Rourke is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
