Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leonel Cox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yuki Kondo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leonel Cox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yuki Kondo! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cox drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cox throwing shots but missing, from side control. Kondo controls the position for a moment. Cox really is a fat lump. Kondo can't do much from the bottom here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kondo looks to move to half guard but instead Cox has passed into mount! Damn! Kondo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Cox tries to control but Kondo wriggling away. Kondo is desperately trying to improve his position but Cox has a good base and remains in mount. Cox sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Kondo tries to lock up and control but Cox gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kondo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kondo is hanging on here. He's in a desperate position. Kondo is looking to improve his position but Cox isn't that keen on the idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cox misses with a head shot. Kondo is looking to improve his position but Cox isn't that keen on the idea.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kondo keeps trying to improve his position. Kondo tries to hold on but Cox pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kondo tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leonel Cox dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kondo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Cox moves away. Cox tries to keep at a distance but Kondo has taken the fight into the clinch. Cox trying to land knees to the body.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Cox. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Kondo seems frustrated at his inability to get double underhooks. Kondo wants to break free but Cox has control.
Cox works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cox with a nice head shot there. Cox won't allow Kondo to sweep him here. Kondo not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cox wants to get up but he can't break Kondo's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Kondo controls Cox momentarily but Cox frees himself. Cox throwing strikes from guard but Kondo blocks nicely.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kondo clinches up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Cox controlling the action here for a moment.
Cox has a couple of punches blocked by Kondo.

Kondo gets control of Cox's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kondo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Kondo wants to sweep but no luck. Kondo managing to control the position. Kondo looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Cox puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kondo keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Kondo gets full guard. Kondo wants to sweep here but Cox controlling him for the moment. Cox has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Cox postures up in Kondo's guard and throws a big left but Kondo blocks it. Kondo working for a triangle but Cox defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Kondo is trying to keep Cox in close.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Cox stopping the sweep attempt from Kondo.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kondo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kondo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Kondo wants to control but Cox is keeping him busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Leonel Cox will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Cox drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kondo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Cox scoring with some ground and pound. Cox trying to control but Kondo is working from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cox won't allow Kondo to sweep him here. Kondo is looking to sweep but instead, Cox has passed into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kondo is looking to control Cox's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kondo avoid being mounted? The fighters are battling for position here. Kondo manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Cox might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Cox being controlled here momentarily. Kondo tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kondo is trying to control the position but Cox postures up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kondo moves into the clinch. Cox gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kondo kicks Cox off and gets back to his feet. Leonel Cox is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Horrible takedown attempt by Kondo or perhaps it was just good defense by Cox, which made it look bad. Cox displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kondo. As Kondo looks to move away, Cox throws a big counter combo but Kondo just gets out of the way.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cox manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kondo on his heels. He'll look to pass Kondo's guard now, I'm sure. Cox won't allow Kondo to sweep him here. Cox postures up.
Kondo wants to sweep but no luck. Kondo pulls Cox in to control the position. Cox lands a couple of digs. Kondo is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kondo wants to sweep but no luck.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kondo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kondo closes the distance and pushes Cox back into the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Cox takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A bit of stalling here from Cox.
Cox gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. Cox managing to block the knees to the body from Kondo.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Come on Cox - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Cox pulls guard effortlessly.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Leonel Cox. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cox, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
