Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Sernas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Richardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, David Sernas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rock Richardson! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sernas misses with a takedown attempt - Richardson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Richardson! But no joy. Richardson bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sernas's head backwards. Richardson instigates a clinch. Sernas tries a body shot but Richardson blocks it.
Sernas looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Sernas could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Richardson has had enough of the clinch but Sernas keeps him there for the moment. Richardson wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Sernas avoiding damage as Richardson throws knees to the body.
Richardson tries to pull guard but Sernas holds him up against the cage and eventually Richardson drops back down to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sernas misses with a knee strike.

Richardson has Sernas pressed against the cage, preventing Sernas from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richardson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sernas prevents it.
Sernas keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Richardson's efforts to push away. Sernas letting Richardson take a breather here. Richardson drags the fight down to the ground.

Richardson can't keep his opponent in guard - Sernas advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Sernas has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Richardson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Sernas with shots to the head and body - Richardson looks very uncomfortable down there. Sernas won't let Richardson get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Richardson wants to hold on but Sernas pushes him away. Sernas thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Sernas is working for a guillotine from mount but Richardson frees his head quite easily.
Sernas can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Richardson is looking to escape. Richardson tries to get back to half guard but can't. Sernas landing punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sernas throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Sernas fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Richardson can do anything to dispel that myth. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Sernas jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Richardson is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Richardson and Sernas has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Sernas advances nicely into full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Richardson pulls guard effortlessly. Richardson has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. David Sernas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Richardson thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Sernas has gone for a leg lock! Richardson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sernas's guard.
Sernas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richardson looking to pass the guard. Richardson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sernas is on top in guard.
Sernas slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Sernas tries to stand but Richardson is controlling his head. Richardson is looking for a sweep. Richardson is not content to let Sernas control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Richardson tries to roll over but Sernas keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sernas is looking to take a break and control but Richardson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Richardson is looking to get back to full guard here but Sernas has managed to pass to side control instead. Richardson explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Richardson moves into the clinch. Richardson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Sernas is defending well. Both fighters working to control the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Richardson is trying to pull guard but Sernas has him pressed against the cage. Sernas wants to break free but Richardson has control.

Richardson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sernas has time to react. Richardson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Sernas is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Richardson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Sernas tries to pull guard but Richardson won't allow it.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Richardson jumps into guard, dragging Sernas to the mat.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Richardson keeping moving, preventing Sernas from controlling successfully. Sernas slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rock Richardson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Richardson gets in close and instigates a clinch. Richardson effectively controlling the action here. Sernas has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Richardson after a bit of a struggle. Sernas is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Richardson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Sernas fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Sernas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Richardson pulls guard successfully.
Sernas trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richardson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Richardson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sernas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Richardson pulls Sernas in close to his closed guard and prevents Sernas from doing any damage or advancing position. Richardson wants to hit a switch here but Sernas passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Richardson there! Richardson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sernas wants to control the pace but Richardson is squirming around nicely. Richardson tries to lock up and control but Sernas gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Sernas tries to control but Richardson wriggling away. Richardson regains half guard. Richardson is controlling Sernas's position as best he can from this difficult position. Let's hope that Richardson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sernas seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Richardson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Sernas not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Sernas works his way into side control. Sernas is trying to get an arm triangle but Richardson is defending well. Sernas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Richardson keeps working.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Richardson is looking for a sweep. Sernas throws a strike aimed at the side of Richardson's head but Richardson avoids it well.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Richardson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like David Sernas has been cut. Sernas takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Richardson moves into the clinch. Richardson gets control of Sernas's arms and successfully pulls guard. Richardson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Richardson wants to hit a switch here but Sernas passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Richardson there! Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Richardson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! Rock Richardson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Richardson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
