Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frankie Riggs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jackson Enrique! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Kenichi Hosakawa and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Enrique darts in and clinches Riggs up against the cage. Riggs looking to throw knees to the head but Enrique is blocking nicely.
Riggs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Riggs lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Good body shot from Riggs.

Riggs working hard to break the clinch. Enrique is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Riggs tries a body shot but Enrique blocks it.
Enrique jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Riggs walks away with a smile on his face. Enrique gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Enrique looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Riggs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Enrique moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Riggs changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Enrique looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Enrique explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Enrique fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Riggs seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Frankie Riggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Enrique.
That's one minute gone in the round. Enrique drives through and clinches with Riggs against the cage.

Enrique just leaning against Riggs, taking a breather. Enrique has Riggs pushed against the cage. Enrique tries to pull guard but Riggs holds him up against the cage and eventually Enrique drops back down to his feet.
Enrique stalling in the clinch but Riggs improves position. Enrique is trying to force a seperation but Riggs has the dominant position. Enrique has Riggs pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Riggs manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Enrique escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Enrique is trying hard to land a takedown here. Riggs sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Riggs tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Enrique manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown attempt by Enrique or perhaps it was just good defense by Riggs, which made it look bad. Jackson Enrique seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Enrique shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Enrique looks winded! Enrique throws a head kick but Riggs moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Enrique throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Riggs was covering up waiting for the punch and Enrique finishes the takedown easily into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Riggs trying to keep a closed guard but Enrique is proving a slippery customer.
Riggs looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Riggs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Riggs keeping full guard, as Enrique tries to pass.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Enrique is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Enrique is fighting to break Riggs's control of his arms but Riggs is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Enrique tries to free his leg and advance position but Riggs is retaining full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Riggs showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Enrique.
Enrique looks for a takedown but Riggs sprawls well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jackson Enrique will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Enrique defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Riggs. Riggs wants to clinch up but Enrique keeps it at a distance. Enrique lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Riggs throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Enrique. Enrique throws a sloppy head kick and Riggs moves out of range easily. Enrique clinches with his opponent.

Enrique tries to land a sweep but no joy. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Riggs missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Enrique looking to hit a scissor sweep but Riggs is one step ahead there. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Riggs accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Enrique kicks Riggs off and gets to his feet. A head kick by Enrique misses and Riggs holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Riggs throws a head punch that misses. Enrique gets through Riggs's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Riggs manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Enrique avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Enrique seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Enrique tries to free his leg and advance position but Riggs is retaining full guard. Riggs is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Riggs avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Riggs half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Danga de danga de dang - Riggs scores with a four punch combination! Enrique goes for a double leg but Riggs avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Riggs continues to drive forward. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Enrique. Frankie Riggs has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jackson Enrique. Enrique is breathing heavily. Enrique tries to clinch up. Riggs drops down looking for a counter takedown but Enrique sprawls and moves away. Enrique tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Riggs gets tackled into the cage by Enrique. Enrique maintains the clinch. Riggs has Enrique pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Enrique manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Enrique wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Enrique dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Riggs shoots in for a takedown but Enrique shows good takedown defense. Riggs darts in looking for a takedown but Enrique gets double underhooks and turns Riggs into the cage. Enrique shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Riggs defends it nicely. Left hook, right uppercut from Riggs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Enrique scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Riggs is trying to push Enrique away but Enrique has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. With the fighters up against the cage, Riggs throws an elbow but misses. Enrique successfully pulls guard.

Frankie Riggs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jackson Enrique is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Jackson Enrique has got the better of the ground game so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Enrique is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
