PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rich Jasper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JD Hilo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hilo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Song 2 by Blur kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hilo shoots in for a takedown but Jasper shows good takedown defense.
Rich Jasper seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hilo gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hilo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Jasper feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Jasper decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
