Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Taylor Marish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Bates might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Doused. Taylor Marish has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taylor Marish! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bates ducks under a wild hook from Marish. Bates misses with a few strikes there.
Marish looks like he wants to counter punch here. Bates lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Bates.
It looks like Taylor Marish has been cut. Marish dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Marish stalks Bates and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bates's face. Bates staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Jon Bates has been cut. Marish sizes up Bates with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Marish takes a shot right to the bread basket. Marish cracks Bates with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Marish has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bates to stand back up!
Bates is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bates slips under a jab. The fighters circling - Marish throws out the jab but it was never going to land. As Marish looks to move away, Bates throws a big counter combo but Marish just gets out of the way. Marish throws a looping overhand right but Bates ducks down to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marish is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bates. Bates uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Marish. Marish throws a lazy right hand but Bates sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Marish fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bates manages to avoid it. Bates looks to land a combination but Marish avoids it well. Marish lands a right hook to the body.

and Bates counters with a right hand to the body. Marish rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bates moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bates tries to counter by clinching up but Marish breaks away and moves out of range. Bates throws a nice looking combination but Marish bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Taylor Marish seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bates misses with a takedown attempt - Marish sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bates tries to close the distance and clinch up but Marish swats him away and circles back towards the center.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Marish misses its intended target. Marish throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Bates walks into a jab. Marish leaves Bates with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Marish has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Marish throws a hook but Bates blocks it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marish misses with a two punch combination.
Bates doesn't manage to clinch there - Marish circles away.

Taylor Marish dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Bates's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Marish tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bates was well out of range. Poor timing from Marish. Marish is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. Marish connects with a body shot. Marish throws a left and a right that both miss
and Bates counters with a series of strikes. Marish will be more careful next time no doubt. Taylor Marish seems to be getting the better of the standup. Marish misses the jab. Marish takes a swing at Bates's ribcage but misses. Bates looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Marish throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Bates counters with a straight punch to the midsection. We've been informed that Marish has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Marish throws a right and a left that both miss. As Marish tries to get set, Bates tries to push him back and clinch up but Marish manages to avoid the attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bates digs a good hook to Marish's body.

Marish throws a combination that misses and Bates counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Bates takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Marish throws a leg kick that misses. Bates fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Bates avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Bates is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Bates tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Bates uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Marish. Bates showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Marish.

Marish throws an overhand right that lands on Bates's shoulder, as Bates tries to avoid the shot. As Marish looks to move away, Bates throws a big counter combo but Marish just gets out of the way. Taylor Marish is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bates clinches up with Marish and pushes him back against the cage. Bates is looking to break free of the clinch but Marish has double underhooks. Bates wants to take the fight to the mat but Marish manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Bates gets underhooks to prevent Marish's takedown attempt.

And that's the end of the fight! Taylor Marish comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Marish winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
