The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Browne does no damage. Browne tries to clinch but Winters is having none of it. Browne tries to clinch there but Winters circles away.
A jab-cross combination lands for Winters and sends Browne crashing to the mat! Winters follows him down to the mat - Browne regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Browne is rocked!
It looks like John Browne has been cut. Browne missing with punches from the bottom.
Oh Browne is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Winters moves nicely into side control. Browne wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Browne seems to have got his legs back now. Browne is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Winters's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Browne is in trouble now - Winters has advanced to mount! Browne swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Winters should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Winters landing strikes from the mount and Browne is in trouble! Winters scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Browne?
Browne throwing hammer fists to the chest of Winters. What's that going to do exactly? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Winters landing strikes, looking to finish! Winters controlling from mount. Winters blocks Browne's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Winters controlling from the full mount. Browne wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Winters controlling the position easily from mount. Winters is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Browne is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Browne flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Winters anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Browne and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Winters slips an arm under Browne chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Winters has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Winters is squeezing on Browne like an anaconda would it's prey. Browne fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
