The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luiz throws a head kick but Wheeler moves out of range.

It looks like Malcom Wheeler has been cut.
Luiz bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wheeler's head backwards.

Wheeler is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Luiz defends well.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
