Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matt Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Derek Moye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matt Wright! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derek Moye! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moye keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Wright shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Moye pinned against the cage. Moye gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Moye moves into the clinch successfully.
Moye is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Wright using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Moye has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Moye blocks a head kick by Wright.
Moye keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wright shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Moye as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Wright. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moye closes the distance and clinches. Wright wants to get back to striking at distance but Moye won't allow it.
Moye turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. I looks like Moye might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Moye wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wright, who protects the arm well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wright struggling a bit here. Moye thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Moye passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Wright! Wright is looking to get to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wright is squirming around, avoiding Moye's attempts to control the action. Wright tries to get back to half guard but can't. Wright is working hard here to advance position. Moye tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Wright has left one of his arms exposed and Moye doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Wright screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
