The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Arenas misses.
Arenas blocks a jab.
Arenas seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Arenas loads up on a big right hand but Rutherford slips the punch.
Nicolas Arenas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rutherford takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It looks like Nicolas Arenas has been cut.
Arenas takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Arenas connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rutherford's hands.
A shot to the body from Arenas misses
and Rutherford counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Rutherford throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Rutherford's jab looks to have found its range, popping Arenas under the eye.
Arenas throws out a loose jab but Rutherford uses good head movement to avoid it.
Arenas throws a lazy uppercut
and Rutherford makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rutherford uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Arenas.
Rutherford throws a leg kick which misses Arenas's front leg but catches the back leg as Arenas tries to avoid it.
Rutherford cracks Arenas with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Arenas looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away� can Rutherford finish him?
Arenas is rocked!
Arenas throws a looping overhand right but Rutherford ducks down to avoid it.
Rutherford tries to counter with a clinch but Arenas shakes him off and moves away.
Oh Arenas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rutherford lands a nice leg kick that just misses Arenas's sensitive parts.
Rutherford walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Rutherford drops Arenas with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Arenas! Rutherford dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Steven Rutherford!
