Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Benny Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patryk Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Benny Perez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Patryk Kowalski ! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Perez moves into the clinch. Kowalski jumps guard but Perez stands there with Kowalski around his waist. Kowalski gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Perez breaks from the clinch.
Kowalski takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Perez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Kowalski tries to buck Perez off but Perez is having none of it. Kowalski is trying to get back to his feet. Kowalski tries to get back to half guard but can't. Perez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kowalski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Kowalski takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kowalski tries to bench press Perez off him but Perez keeps the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kowalski gets back to half guard. Perez is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Kowalski working to try and regain half guard.
Perez avoids the attempt from Kowalski to control. Perez tries to stand up but Kowalski grabs his leg and drags him down! Kowalski is now on top, in side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Perez stops Kowalski from passing to mount. Kowalski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Perez is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Perez tries to bench press Kowalski off him but Kowalski keeps the position. Kowalski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Kowalski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Perez regains half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kowalski stalling. Kowalski working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Kowalski is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Kowalski wants to control but Perez is keeping him busy. Kowalski seems to be looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kowalski is looking to take a break and control but Perez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perez is looking to improve his position.
Kowalski is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Perez has managed to free his arm - good work. Kowalski trying to mount his opponent but Perez defends it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Perez wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Patryk Kowalski will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kowalski tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Perez throwing a counter right hand but Kowalski manages to avoid it. Perez swinging wildly here.
Kowalski closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Perez quickly recovers to half guard. Perez is looking to improve his position.
Kowalski is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Perez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kowalski . Perez tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perez wants to improve his position but Kowalski is controlling well.
Kowalski landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Perez is staying active underneath Kowalski , who seems content to just control the action from this position. Kowalski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Perez's head. Kowalski seems to be working for a kimura but Perez defends the submission attempt. Perez wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kowalski wants to control but Perez is keeping him busy. Kowalski scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Perez is refusing to be controlled, as Kowalski sits in half guard. Kowalski working the head and body with strikes. Perez makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Perez. Kowalski trying to control the position from guard on top but Perez is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perez is controlling Kowalski 's posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Kowalski fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Perez avoids it really well and circles away. Kowalski fails with a takedown attempt from distance. As Kowalski looks to move away, Perez throws a big counter combo but Kowalski just gets out of the way. Kowalski misses with a takedown attempt and Perez counters with a right hand to the body. Benny Perez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patryk Kowalski . Perez gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Perez is pushing Kowalski up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kowalski tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Perez smiles and moves away.
Perez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kowalski napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kowalski throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done! This has been an exciting period of action! Kowalski shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Perez manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Kowalski is standing up over Perez. Perez looks to escape but Kowalski dives into side control.
Patryk Kowalski has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Perez regains half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Patryk Kowalski will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Kowalski tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Perez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Perez appears to be looking for a big counter. Perez closes the distance and pushes Kowalski back into the cage. Kowalski on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Kowalski drives through with a takedown into guard. Kowalski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Perez holds on and takes a little breather. Kowalski content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Perez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kowalski is aware though and is defending well. Perez keeping moving, preventing Kowalski from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kowalski drops back looking for a leg! Perez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Perez manages to kick Kowalski off! Kowalski jumps back into Perez's guard. Kowalski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kowalski has managed to get both his arms back between Perez's legs - danger averted. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Perez keeping moving, preventing Kowalski from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Perez wants to control but Kowalski passes easily into half guard.
Perez is trying to get back to full guard. Kowalski working the head and body with strikes. Kowalski missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Kowalski is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kowalski takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perez wants to control but Kowalski passes into side.
Kowalski is trying to get an arm triangle but Perez is defending well. Kowalski wants to control but Perez is keeping him busy. Perez struggling a bit here. Perez is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kowalski connects with a decent elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kowalski tries for a kimura but Perez is defending well. Kowalski in side control lands a decent elbow. Kowalski lands a few punches from side control. Kowalski working away. Kowalski working the ground and pound. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kowalski working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Perez is looking to regain half guard here but Kowalski keeps moving and retains side control.
And that's the end of the fight! Patryk Kowalski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Kowalski winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
