Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dante Gael Roman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 65 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jaromir Jag!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jag forces Roman back against the cage and clinches.

Roman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jag misses with a head kick.
Roman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.


It looks like Jaromir Jag has been cut.
Roman misses with a wild body shot.

Jag closes the distance and pushes Roman back into the cage.
Jag prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jag stalling.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Roman closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Roman lands in his opponent's guard.

Roman makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Roman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Roman drops back looking for a leg! Jag is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jag manages to kick Roman off! Roman jumps back into Jag's guard.
Jag wants to stand and escape but Roman is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Jag manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Jag using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Roman has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Roman stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Roman keeps control of Jag as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Roman lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jag backwards.
Jag dodges an elbow strike from Roman.

Jag breaks the clinch.
Jag pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Roman wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Roman moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Jag drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Jag fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Roman, pushing him back against the cage.

Jag gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Roman to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Roman changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jag fights it off and pushes away nicely.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dante Gael Roman will probably get the nod.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Roman, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
