Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Flowers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabricio Werdum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Junior Flowers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabricio Werdum! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Werdum. No joy for Flowers on that attempt. Werdum cracks Flowers with a right hand to the side of the head.
It looks like Junior Flowers has been cut. Flowers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Werdum avoids it really well and circles away. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Flowers is defended easily by Werdum. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Junior Flowers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Werdum throws a front kick aimed at Flowers's knee but Flowers avoids it well. Flowers gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Werdum to score an easy takedown into full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Werdum throwing strikes but missing. Werdum pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Flowers is keeping the position for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flowers is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Werdum is controlling him. Flowers working a defensive guard here.
Werdum not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Werdum wanted to stand there but Flowers had control of the position. Werdum stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Flowers swivels though and keeps the full guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Werdum wants to get up but he can't break Flowers's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Excellent takedown into side control there by Werdum. Flowers explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Sloppy strikes from Werdum. Those never looked like landing. Werdum has Flowers up against the cage in a clinch.
Nice body punch from Werdum. Flowers is looking to take this one to the mat. Flowers jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Werdum walks away with a smile on his face. Flowers gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Werdum will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Werdum shoots in and gets a takedown into Flowers's guard. Flowers is wriggling around but Werdum manages to pass to half guard.
Flowers is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Werdum passes to side control. Flowers is being controlled here. Flowers really is a fat lump. Werdum lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Flowers wants to get back to his feet. Werdum working the body and head with strikes. Werdum in side control, just content to control the action for now. Werdum lands some shots froms side control. Flowers knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Werdum on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Werdum stalls from top position. Flowers is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Werdum is controlling him well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Werdum creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots. Werdum works to advance to full mount. Flowers defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Flowers wants to hold on but Werdum pushes him away. The referee warns Flowers that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Werdum working for a guillotine from mount but Flowers is in no mood to give up. Werdum takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fabricio Werdum dominated that round. The cut man is working on Junior Flowers's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Werdum drives through with a takedown into guard. Werdum slips nicely into half guard. Werdum perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Werdum is looking for a kimura but Flowers is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Werdum to get the leverage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Werdum is taking a breather. Flowers says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Werdum. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Flowers wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Werdum has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Flowers working to try and regain half guard.
Werdum looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Werdum breaks from Flowers's wrist control and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Werdum pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Flowers keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Flowers is trying to stand. Flowers is bucking up trying to escape but Werdum cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Werdum trying to control but he's not successful this time. Werdum lands a nice shot to the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Werdum takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Werdum landing shots from mount.
Flowers is rocked! Werdum postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Flowers in real trouble here! The ref calls for Flowers to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fabricio Werdum!
