The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laitela shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jefferson defends it nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Laitela.
Laitela darts in looking for a takedown but Jefferson gets double underhooks and turns Laitela into the cage.

Laitela has control of Jefferson's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jefferson regains control of the situation pretty easily.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Laitela avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Laitela shoots in looking for a takedown but Jefferson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Laitela's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jefferson leaves Laitela with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jefferson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Laitela tries to move to mount but Jefferson blocks the move with his legs.

Jefferson pushes Laitela away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Laitela gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hilario Jefferson will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
