Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Grant Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Orvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Grant Hayes has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Grant Hayes seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hayes fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Orvin, pushing him back against the cage.
Orvin looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Hayes manages to pull guard.
Hayes trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Hayes managing to control the position.

Hayes looking for a guillotine here but Orvin defends easily.
Hayes has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Hayes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hayes wants to stand but Orvin is controlling the position.

Orvin won't allow Hayes to sweep him here.

Hayes has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Orvin is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Hayes drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Hayes tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Orvin's elbow.

Hayes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Hayes moves into range and clinches up with Orvin.

Hayes has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Orvin uses from the top position.

Hayes wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Orvin manages to pass to side control.

Hayes is controlling Orvin's trapped leg to prevent Orvin from advancing to side control.
Hayes is looking for a sweep. Orvin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Hayes pushes Orvin off and gets back to his feet.

Hayes closes the distance and clinches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A short body shot lands from Hayes as the two fighters clinch.

Hayes looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Hayes wants to stand but Orvin is controlling the position.

Hayes is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Orvin rolls with it to try and escape but Hayes cranks on the arm and Orvin is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
