Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Edwardo Welch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichigo Wu!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welch feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Welch throwing strikes but missing.
Wu avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Wu utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Welch trying to control the position from guard on top but Wu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Welch in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Welch has gone for a leg lock! Wu slips out almost immediately though and dives into Welch's guard.
Welch is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Wu is aware though and is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Welch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wu postures up in Welch's guard and throws a big left but Welch blocks it.

Wu throws an elbow that misses. Welch uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Wu's guard. Nice move by Welch!
Wu tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Welch content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Wu wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Wu holds on and takes a little breather.
Welch will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Welch loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Welch won't allow Wu to get back to his feet.

Wu had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Welch defends it easily.
Welch keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wu's head.
Welch working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Wu's head.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Welch accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Welch wants to control from the top but Wu keeps moving.

Welch is looking to work some ground and pound but Wu has wrist control.
Wu keeping moving, preventing Welch from controlling successfully.
Welch throws a big right hand that misses.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Some wild striking there from Wu.
Welch moves out of range as Wu throws a body kick.
Wu fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Welch to the ground. Wu is now in Welch's guard.
Wu looks winded!
Wu throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Welch works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Welch has his foot on Wu's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wu works his way back into a safe position though.
Wu looking to sit in guard and control but Welch gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Welch scoring with some ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Wu has momentary wrist control but Welch slips an elbow through the middle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Edwardo Welch dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
The fighters circle momentarily. Wu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Wu closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Welch quickly recovers to half guard.
Welch is rocked!
Wu perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Oh Welch is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wu working over Welch with some ground and pound. Welch looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Wu lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Welch quite badly. Welch pulls Wu in close trying to recover. Wu postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Welch on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Welch doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ichigo Wu!
Ichigo Wu seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
