Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Thad Doyle!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Artur O Brian!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
O Brian gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Thad Doyle has been cut.

Doyle tries to pull guard but O Brian holds him up against the cage and eventually Doyle drops back down to his feet.
A frustrated look appears on Doyle's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Doyle jumps guard but O Brian turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Doyle tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. O Brian just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Thad Doyle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Doyle wants to break free but O Brian has control.
Doyle is trying to break the clinch but O Brian is controlling him.
Doyle jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as O Brian walks away with a smile on his face. Doyle gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Doyle will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Doyle could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

O Brian closes the distance and pushes Doyle back into the cage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, O Brian just misses with a elbow thrown towards Doyle's brow.

O Brian has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Doyle uses from the top position.

Doyle tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. O Brian smiles and moves away.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

O Brian stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well O Brian has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
