Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Davison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Therion - Sitra Ahra. Davison has chosen Not Today by Sevendust as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Davison! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Taro Takaoka and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davison fails with a takedown attempt. Davison throws out a loose jab but Smith uses good head movement to avoid it. Smith tries to sprawl but Davison drives through with a takedown into half guard. Davison looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Davison goes for a double leg but Smith avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Smith continues to drive forward. Davison is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Smith's half guard. Smith on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Smith is rocked! Davison lands a big elbow - Smith is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Davison!
