The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackwell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Blackwell wants it to stay on the feet.
Blackwell half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Blackwell tries to score a power double leg takedown but Monzon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Blackwell somewhat.

Monzon throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Blackwell's waist but Blackwell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Monzon off to one side.

Well Monzon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
