Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sungwon Jung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dawid Rafal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sungwon Jung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dawid Rafal!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rafal looks to score with a jab to the body but Jung is just out of range.
Jung was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Jung fails to land with a series of punches.
Rafal circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jung throws a shot from downtown. Rafal moves away and avoids it.
Jung misses with a double jab.
Rafal pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jung avoids the head kick by Rafal.
Jung will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
It seemed like Rafal was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Jung tries to bum rush Rafal with a series of wild strikes but Rafal uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rafal moves out of range as Jung strikes.
Rafal swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rafal raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Sungwon Jung seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Rafal punishes Jung's body with a nice straight punch.
Rafal swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Rafal throws a head kick that misses.
Nice uppercut lands for Jung. That snapped Rafal's head back.
A jab from Jung does it's job there.
Rafal tries a head kick but it misses.
Jung shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

Jung moves out of range of the strikes.
Jung takes one to the side of the head.
Rafal thuds a left hand into Jung's body.
Jung tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rafal paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rafal misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Jung shoots in and bounces Rafal off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jung wants to control from the top but Rafal keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jung pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rafal is keeping the position for now.
Rafal has control of Jung's left arm, preventing Jung from doing any damage.
Jung trying to control the position from guard on top but Rafal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Jung loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Jung trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Rafal is on top in guard.


Jung is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Rafal defends well.
Rafal showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Let's hope that Rafal has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jung looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rafal is one step ahead there.
Rafal not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rafal trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jung trying to keep a closed guard but Rafal is proving a slippery customer.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A jab from Rafal misses.
Jung moves in looking to clinch but Rafal pushes him off.
Rafal throws a fast counter high kick but Jung manages to duck under it in time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rafal lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Jung lands with a hook. Rafal tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Rafal ducks under a wild hook from Jung.
Rafal connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Jung momentarily.
Jung throws a right hand that Rafal ducks under and follows up with a left that Rafal also avoids with ease.

Jung bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Jung is rocked!
Jung takes a swing at Rafal's ribcage but misses.
Oh Jung is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Rafal throws the left hand but Jung avoids the punch easily.
Jung appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Rafal is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jung.
Jung throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rafal throws a right and a left that Jung avoids nicely.
Jung shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rafal pinned against the cage. Rafal gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sungwon Jung. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Rafal lands a nice hook to Jung's body. Jung takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jung shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Rafal as he avoids it easily.

Rafal uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jung.

Jung uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rafal.
Jung looks to land a combination but Rafal avoids it well.

Rafal drops Jung with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Jung looks back up at him and smiles so Rafal waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Rafal just misses with a punch to the body.
Rafal thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rafal doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Jung moves out of range as Rafal strikes.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jung fails in his attempt to clinch.
Rafal jabs Jung right on the nose. Jung blinks but takes it well.
Jung will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Rafal punishes Jung's body with a nice straight punch.
Rafal lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Jung falls backwards - clearly groggy! Rafal dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dawid Rafal!
Dawid Rafal seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Sungwon Jung stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'll be back stronger, just need more training.'.
