The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Summer Carpenter and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meadows tries for a takedown but Montevido sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Montevido shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Meadows is trying to defend but Montevido finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Meadows misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Meadows might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Montevido slips a nice elbow through Meadows's hands, connecting with Meadows's forehead.
Montevido wants to free his trapped foot but Meadows is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Montevido takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Meadows is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Montevido scores with a couple of nice shots.
Meadows is rocked!
Montevido lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Meadows quite badly. Meadows pulls Montevido in close trying to recover. Montevido postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Meadows on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Meadows doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Atticus Montevido!
