Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Beau Remington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendrick Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Remington comes into the arena with Lily Was Here blaring out of the sound system. Beau Remington has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kendrick Perkins!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perkins drives through with a takedown into Remington's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Remington is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Perkins is aware though and is defending well.
Remington pulls Perkins in close to prevent any damage.
Remington has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Remington bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Perkins's guard.

Remington seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Remington closes the distance and clinches.

Perkins has Remington pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Perkins pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Remington tumbling to the mat - Perkins dives into Remington's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Remington holds on and takes a little breather.
Remington looking to hit a scissor sweep but Perkins is one step ahead there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Remington looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Perkins has picked Remington up and slammed him! Remington can't keep hold of the triangle and Perkins manages to pass to side control!

Remington regains half guard there - taking advantage of Perkins's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

That's time! Remington's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

After the fight, Beau Remington was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
