Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marshall kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tech N9ne - On The Bible. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rua.
Marshall throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rua on the side of the head.
Rua swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Marshall is looking for a counter combo.
Marshall misses with a looping right.
Nice straight punches there by Marshall. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Marshall.
Rua feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Marshall's calf.
Marshall thumps Rua with a low kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Rua.
Rua wants to clinch.
Marshall is looking to slow Rua down with leg kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rua wants to slow Marshall down by chopping away at his legs.
Marshall throws a leg kick but Rua sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Marshall throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rua on the side of the head.
Rua motions for Marshall to come forward. Rua throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Marshall lands with a kick to the ribs.

Marshall gets tackled into the cage by Rua. Rua maintains the clinch.
Marshall lands a hook to the side of the head.

Marshall manages to break the clinch.
Marshall moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Gabriel Rua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rua throws a sloppy head kick and Marshall moves out of range easily.
A low kick from Rua is predictable there
and Marshall counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Marshall scores with a push kick.
Rua looks winded!
Rua walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Marshall steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Rua.
Rua stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Marshall.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Marshall moves into the clinch.
Marshall lands with a short shot to the head.
Marshall struggles to land a body shot inside as Rua controls his hands.
Marshall lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Rua backwards.

Marshall breaks from the clinch.
Marshall lands a leg kick that knocks Rua off balance momentarily.
A punch lands to the side of Rua 's head but he takes it in his stride.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marshall looks to score with a jab to the body but Rua is just out of range.
Rua is trying to counter with his kicks.
Marshall is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Marshall throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Marshall fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rua, pushing him back against the cage.

Marshall breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Rua has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Rua there as he acknowledges the shot.

Rua is rocked!
Marshall moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Marshall checks a leg kick.
Marshall scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Rua is still on wobbly legs! Can Marshall finish him?
Marshall steps in with a hook that catches Rua right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Marshall follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Rua looks absolutely devastated.

An intense looking Malcolm Marshall took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Finally a win!'.
