Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Faaloua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Velasquez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kryptonite. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cain Velasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, James Faaloua! The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight moves into the clinch position. Faaloua looks to throw an elbow but misses. Faaloua throws an elbow but it misses.
Faaloua will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Velasquez up against the cage. Faaloua lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Cain Velasquez has been cut. Velasquez jumps into guard, dragging Faaloua to the mat.
Velasquez throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Velasquez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Velasquez working for a triangle but Faaloua defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velasquez is trying to keep Faaloua in close.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velasquez is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Faaloua defends well. Velasquez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Velasquez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Faaloua is aware though and is defending well. Velasquez seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Velasquez striking off his back but it's not causing Faaloua any problems. That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Faaloua controls from within his opponent's guard. Faaloua tries to free his leg and advance position but Velasquez is retaining full guard. Velasquez isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Faaloua stacks Velasquez on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Faaloua! Faaloua is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Velasquez's shoulder. That is not cool. Velasquez is looking for a sweep. Velasquez is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Faaloua is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Velasquez gets back to half guard. Velasquez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velasquez is looking for a sweep. Faaloua is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Still in half guard, Faaloua seems content to control. Velasquez is looking to improve his position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Velasquez wants to improve his position but Faaloua is controlling well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Velasquez desperately trying to maintain half guard. Faaloua trying to control the pace.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Faaloua clinches up with Velasquez and pushes him back against the cage. A nice glancing elbow lands by Faaloua. Velasquez dodges an elbow strike from Faaloua.
Faaloua comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Faaloua gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Faaloua pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Faaloua keeps control of Velasquez as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Faaloua pushes off an throws an elbow but Velasquez leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Faaloua looks to throw an elbow but misses. Faaloua throws an elbow that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Faaloua dominated that round. The cut man is working on Cain Velasquez's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Faaloua closes the distance and clinches. Velasquez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Faaloua just stands there and leans against the cage. Velasquez manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Velasquez has an active guard here but Faaloua has managed to pass into half guard.
Velasquez wants to improve his position but Faaloua is controlling well.
Faaloua is figuring out what he wants to do next. Faaloua stops Velasquez from getting back to his feet.

Faaloua got a little sloppy there for a moment and Velasquez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Faaloua has managed to get both his arms back between Velasquez's legs - danger averted. Velasquez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Faaloua is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Velasquez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Faaloua trying to control but Velasquez is working from the bottom. Velasquez looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Velasquez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Faaloua is one step ahead there. Faaloua must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Velasquez pushes a forearm under Faaloua's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Faaloua is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Cain Velasquez! After winning the bout, Cain Velasquez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
