Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, JJ Tucker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jim Jabber!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Jabber.
Jabber throws a head kick that misses

and Tucker counters by clinching up.
Tucker working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Tucker lands an elbow that stopped Jabber in his tracks for a moment.
Tucker lands a right hand.

Jabber manages to break the clinch.
A jab from Tucker does it's job there.
Tucker with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jabber throws a head kick but Tucker moves out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jabber. Tucker does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jabber throws a big shot that misses.
Nice body punch from Tucker.
Jabber looks winded!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tucker looks for the body kick but Jabber saw that one coming.
Tucker lunges at Jabber with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Jabber's hand.

Tucker closes the distance and clinches.
Tucker lands an uppercut.
Tucker lands an elbow inside that Jabber shrugs off.
The referee is keeping an eye on Tucker - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Jabber misses with a short punch on the inside.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Tucker working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Tucker creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Jabber's defenses.


Jabber is rocked!


It looks like Jim Jabber has been cut.
Tucker lands a hook to the side of the head.
Jabber is still on wobbly legs! Can Tucker finish him?
Tucker lands an elbow just above Jabber 's eye.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Tucker.
Jabber tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Tucker lands a right hand that snaps the head of Jabber backwards.
Jabber wants to get back to striking at distance but Tucker won't allow it.
Tucker stalling in the clinch.
Jabber is pressed against the cage. Tucker pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Jabber! Two more big strikes from Tucker and Jabber crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). JJ Tucker!
JJ Tucker decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
