Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Steven Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Van Buren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baker comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Get in My Way. Van Buren has chosen Blue Monday as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Steven Baker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Robin Van Buren! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Buren steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Baker. That one must have hurt. Van Buren closes the distance and clinches. Van Buren gets a trip takedown into half guard. Baker is positioning himself well to prevent Van Buren advancing to mount. Van Buren seems to be working for a kimura but Baker defends the submission attempt. Van Buren thows a huge punch but Baker dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Baker wants to improve his position but Van Buren is controlling well.
Van Buren looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Baker trying to control but Van Buren postures up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Van Buren not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Van Buren throwing shots but Baker is blocking nicely. Van Buren prevents Baker from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Van Buren is looking to take a break and control but Baker is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Baker looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Baker looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baker looking for submissions off his back. Baker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Van Buren is working away from the top position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Van Buren misses with a head shot. Baker uses the momentum to regain guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Van Buren working some strikes from top position. Van Buren won't allow Baker to sweep him here. Van Buren trying to control but Baker is working from the bottom. Van Buren keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Baker's head. Baker escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Van Buren gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Baker working for a triangle but Van Buren defends it easily.
Van Buren trying to control the position from guard on top but Baker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Buren wanted to stand there but Baker had control of the position. Baker has his foot on Van Buren's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Van Buren works his way back into a safe position though. Van Buren trying to control but Baker is working from the bottom. Baker pushes a forearm under Van Buren's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Van Buren is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Steven Baker! As Steven Baker got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: It was a great fight, and my opponent was definitely skilled. I'm just the better warrior.'. In defeat, Robin Van Buren stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will return. I will be better. My hair will be greener.'.
