Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between January Kwiecinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Emerlong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, January Kwiecinski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fernando Emerlong!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emerlong throws a lazy head kick
enabling Kwiecinski to counter with a crisp jab.
Kwiecinski darts in looking for a takedown but Emerlong gets double underhooks and turns Kwiecinski into the cage.
Emerlong scores with a nice strike.
Emerlong misses with a looping left.
Emerlong lands a really nice looking cross but Kwiecinski seems unphased.
A telegraphed right hand from Emerlong misses the target.
A quick step to the side and Kwiecinski tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Emerlong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
And Kwiecinski counters with a quick kick to the body but Emerlong blocks it.
Kwiecinski has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Kwiecinski keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Emerlong.
A little feinted left hand from Kwiecinski on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Kwiecinski staying out of range there.
A combination from Emerlong does no damage.
Emerlong throws a lazy uppercut
and Kwiecinski counters with an outside leg kick.
Kwiecinski slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Emerlong misses with an uppercut. Kwiecinski saw that one coming.
Kwiecinski looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Emerlong jabs Kwiecinski to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Emerlong tries a head kick but it misses.
Emerlong jabs Kwiecinski right on the nose. Kwiecinski blinks but takes it well.
Emerlong throws a low kick, looking for Kwiecinski's leg but Kwiecinski calmly moves out of range.
Fernando Emerlong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Emerlong throws a head kick that misses
and Kwiecinski finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Emerlong looks winded!

and Kwiecinski counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kwiecinski fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Emerlong.
Emerlong lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kwiecinski backs up against the cage.
Emerlong misses with a left hand

and Kwiecinski counters with a crisp one two that drops Emerlong! Kwiecinski thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Emerlong to his feet! Emerlong is in big trouble!
Emerlong throws a one two combo.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Emerlong swings widly with a right hand
and Kwiecinski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


Emerlong is rocked!
Kwiecinski takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kwiecinski tries to move into range but Emerlong moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A jab from Kwiecinski finds it's way through Emerlong's defenses.
Emerlong is still on wobbly legs! Can Kwiecinski finish him?
Emerlong throws a jab but it's blocked by Kwiecinski.
Emerlong seems to have recovered his senses.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Emerlong checks a leg kick.
Kwiecinski lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Emerlong circles away quickly and effectively.
Despite the aggression on Emerlong's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Kwiecinski throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Emerlong misses with a right hand
and Kwiecinski counters with a slapping leg kick.
Emerlong misses with a looping right.
Kwiecinski was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Emerlong misses with a double jab
and Kwiecinski counters with a nice low kick that buckles Emerlong's knee momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kwiecinski lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Emerlong tries a head kick but it misses.
No joy there for Kwiecinski, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kwiecinski fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Kwiecinski blocks a head kick by Emerlong.
Kwiecinski uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Emerlong.

Kwiecinski moves into range and clinches up with Emerlong.

Kwiecinski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Emerlong misses the jab.
Emerlong throws a sloppy head kick
and Kwiecinski cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Emerlong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kwiecinski manages to avoid it.

Kwiecinski feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Emerlong sprawling to the canvas! Emerlong rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Kwiecinski finish him?!
A punch combination from Emerlong misses.
Kwiecinski misses with a double jab.
Emerlong missing with a left hand there. Kwiecinski was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kwiecinski avoids the head kick by Emerlong.
A head kick by Emerlong misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Kwiecinski throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Emerlong on the side of the head.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kwiecinski. Emerlong shrugs it off though.
Kwiecinski is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Emerlong takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kwiecinski throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Emerlong crashing down! Emerlong tries to stagger back to his feet but Kwiecinski just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Emerlong asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). January Kwiecinski!
During a confident post fight interview, January Kwiecinski thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
