PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rodney Ironstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Madhead Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Power comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Mouth for war kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rodney Ironstone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Madhead Power!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Steve Erwin and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ironstone darts in and clinches Power up against the cage.
Power is trying to pull guard but Ironstone turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Power jumps guard but Ironstone stands there with Power around his waist. Power gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Power decides to pull guard.

Ironstone stands and steps away. Power gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Ironstone throws a body shot but no joy.
Ironstone throws a series of punches but Power avoids them all with ease.
Power rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ironstone moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ironstone gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Power.
Power stalks Ironstone and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ironstone's face. Ironstone staggers backwards, shaken.
Ironstone connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

It looks like Madhead Power has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Power misses with a few strikes there.
Ironstone lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Ironstone throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ironstone throws a body shot but no joy.
Power with a hook.
Ironstone pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ironstone stuffs the takedown attempt from Power. Power gets slowly back to his feet.
Rodney Ironstone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Madhead Power.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ironstone tries a head kick but it misses.
Sloppy strikes from Power. Those never looked like landing.
Power lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Power looks to score with a jab to the body but Ironstone is just out of range.
Ironstone feinted there with a counter leg kick.

Ironstone lands a big head kick that sends Power tumbling to the mat! Ironstone takes a step backwards and waves Power back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Power is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
BAM! Ironstone delivers a spinning backfist that drops Power like a ragdoll! This is all oooooveeeer! He was out before he hit the ground!
