The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rouhares fails with a takedown attempt.
Mayor swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Rouhares.
Rouhares tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Mayor counters with a good low kick that Rouhares was not able to check.

Rouhares moves to clinch but Mayor breaks away
enabling Mayor to counter with a crisp jab.
Rouhares misses with a takedown attempt
and Mayor counters with a nice uppercut.
Rouhares takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Rouhares shoots and misses
and Mayor counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Felix Mayor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Palsimar Rouhares.
Rouhares closes the distance and pushes Mayor back into the cage.
Mayor lands a left hand that snaps the head of Rouhares backwards.

Mayor lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Rouhares or not.

Mayor is pressed up against the cage. Rouhares has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mayor down to the mat. Mayor avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Mayor has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Sports Fitness $50 in the buildup to the fight.
A punch lands to the side of Rouhares 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Mayor dips a shoulder and cracks Rouhares with a mighty uppercut! Rouhares falls back against the cage and Mayor unloads with a barrage of strikes! Rouhares is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Mayor screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
