Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Carlos Gray!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Deen!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Gray avoids it really well and circles away.
Gray tries to counter by clinching up but Deen breaks away and moves out of range.
Deen misses with a head kick.
A head kick misses from Deen.
Gray drops down looking for a counter takedown but Deen sprawls and moves away.

Deen pushes Gray up against the cage in a clinch.

Deen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Daniel Deen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Deen scores with a push kick.
Deen lands with a kick to the temple. Gray shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Gray blocks a head kick by Deen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deen throws a sloppy head kick

and Gray decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Deen's guard.
Deen has a closed guard, preventing Gray from standing up.
Deen is looking to stand up but Gray isn't so interested in that idea.

Deen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Deen is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Deen has his feet on Gray's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Deen forces Gray back against the cage and clinches.
Gray jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Deen walks away with a smile on his face. Gray gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Deen connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Gray's hands.
Deen throws a lazy head kick

and Gray counters with a shoot takedown. Deen fights it but they end up in guard.
Gray wanted to stand there but Deen had control of the position.

Gray gets to his feet. Deen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

A head kick by Deen misses
and Gray counters with a left and a right that stings Deen.
Deen looks winded!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Deen throws a body kick that misses.
Deen lands with a cross.
Gray could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Deen throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Gray counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Gray landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Gray decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Deen moves out of range of the body kick from Gray.
Deen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Deen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Deen.

Deen rushes Gray and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Deen wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Gray can't get the takedown.
Deen stops a takedown attempt from Gray.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carlos Gray. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gray tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Gray jumps into guard, dragging Deen to the mat.
Deen trying to control the position from guard on top but Gray is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Deen wants to control from the top but Gray keeps moving.

Gray controls Deen momentarily but Deen frees himself.

Gray looking for a guillotine here but Deen defends easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gray is trying to keep Deen in close.
Gray wants to sweep but no luck.

Gray is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Deen defends well.

Deen stands up from Gray's guard - Deen perhaps looking for a knockout.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Daniel Deen will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Deen lands a head kick!

Gray darts in and clinches Deen up against the cage.

Deen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gray avoids the head kick by Deen.
Gray takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deen throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gray's head.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Deen.
Gray is looking to counter the offense by Deen and move into the clinch.
Deen scores with a head kick. Gray tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Deen falls off balance throwing a combination

and Gray counters by clinching up.
Deen is breathing heavily.

Deen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gray avoids the head kick by Deen.
Deen misses with a hook

and Gray counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gray.
Deen tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gray smiles and moves away.
Deen throws a sloppy head kick and Gray moves out of range easily.

Deen closes the distance and clinches.
Gray lands a left hand that snaps the head of Deen backwards.

Gray turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Deen tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Deen is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Deen is in a horrible position here. Gray smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Gray jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Deen manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Gray stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Deen avoids a kick to the body.
Deen scores with a head kick. Gray tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Deen throws a sloppy head kick
and Gray connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Deen just misses with a punch to the body.
Deen throws a head kick that misses

and Gray counters with a nice double leg into side control. Deen won't be happy with that.

Gray stands up and beckons Deen to his feet.

Gray clinches up with Deen and pushes him back against the cage.
Gray is looking to take this one to the mat.
Deen gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gray.
Deen prevents the takedown attempt.

Gray tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Deen manages to circle out of the way.
Deen takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Deen tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gray just stands there and leans against the cage.

Deen shoots in for a takedown but Gray shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Gray pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Gray sets himself, and Deen steps forward looking for the clinch! Gray avoids it this time.
Deen misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gray throws a quick counter kick to the body but Deen avoids it.
Gray throws a head kick but Deen moves out of range.
Deen throws a low kick but Gray avoids it.
Gray goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Deen - that will leave a mark!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Deen throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Gray counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Deen has a closed guard, preventing Gray from standing up.
Gray working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Gray tries to stand but Deen is controlling from the bottom.
Deen looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Gray is looking to stand up but Deen won't let him.
Deen trying to keep a closed guard but Gray is proving a slippery customer.
Gray trying to control the position from guard on top but Deen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Gray postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Deen keeping moving, preventing Gray from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gray stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Gray misses with an attempted mid kick.
Deen tries a head kick but it misses.
Gray throws a big counter combination but Deen scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Gray throws a half hearted mid kick.
No joy there for Gray, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Deen throws a head kick that misses.
Gray throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Daniel Deen is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Gray lands a nice looking body kick.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Daniel Deen.
I've got Deen winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
