Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lars Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Victor Selassie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lars Fowler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Victor Selassie!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fowler tries to clinch but Selassie is having none of it.
Selassie keeps the fight on the outside.
Fowler throws an off balance right hand
and Selassie cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A nice inside leg kick there by Selassie. That's going to slow Fowler down.
Selassie comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Fowler seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Selassie swats away the attempt to clinch by Fowler.
No joy there for Selassie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Fowler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Selassie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Selassie feints the counter takedown.
Fowler bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.


It looks like Victor Selassie has been cut.
Fowler on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Selassie lands with a right hand.
Selassie lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Fowler lands a big head kick that sends Selassie tumbling to the mat! Fowler takes a step backwards and waves Selassie back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Lars Fowler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fowler throws a body punch but Selassie moves out of range.
Fowler tries to clinch up but Selassie circles away and keeps his distance.
Fowler tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Selassie paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Selassie! But no joy.
Fowler throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fowler avoids the head kick by Selassie.
Fowler wants to clinch up but Selassie keeps it at a distance.

Selassie moves into the clinch.
Fowler has Selassie pressed against the cage, preventing Selassie from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Fowler misses with a body punch.
Selassie has had enough of the clinch but Fowler keeps him there for the moment.

Selassie turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Selassie is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Fowler will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Fowler tries to escape but Selassie is in control.

Selassie wants to control but Fowler is keeping him busy.
Selassie is chipping away with strikes.
Selassie looks up at the clock and then as Fowler takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Selassie smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Selassie connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Fowler some visible discomfort.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Selassie tries to move to mount but Fowler blocks the move with his legs.
Check out the look on Selassie's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Selassie is working Fowler over with some ground and pound from side control.

Selassie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Selassie in side control lands a decent elbow.
Selassie works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Fowler is not content to let Selassie control the position.

Selassie cracks Fowler with a big elbow.

Fowler is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Fowler wants to get back to his feet but Selassie drags him back down.
Selassie connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Fowler some visible discomfort.
Fowler is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Selassie asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Fowler prevents Selassie from moving into mount.
Selassie lands a few punches from side control.

Selassie advances nicely into full mount.
Fowler is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Selassie controlling the pace for now.
Fowler wants to get back to his feet.
Fowler in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Fowler is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Selassie cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Selassie lands a nice shot to the head.


Fowler is rocked!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Victor Selassie dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Selassie lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Fowler closes the distance looking to clinch

and Selassie counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Oh Fowler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fowler seems to have got his legs back now.
Fowler is looking to escape.
Selassie is keen to just control but Fowler is a slippery customer.

Fowler manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Selassie keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Selassie has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Fowler manages to break the clinch.
Lars Fowler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Selassie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Selassie lands in his opponent's guard.
Victor Selassie has got the better of the ground game so far.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Fowler kicks Selassie off and gets to his feet.
Selassie lands a brutal head kick. Fowler looks out on his feet and Selassie throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Victor Selassie!
Victor Selassie got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
