Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Knowles Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Sodeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Knowles Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Arnold Sodeman!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Sodeman paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jackson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sodeman, pushing him back against the cage.
Jackson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sodeman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Sodeman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jackson is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Sodeman lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Sodeman successfully pulls guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sodeman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jackson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jackson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sodeman has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Jackson doesn't defend quickly enough and Sodeman has managed to lock this one up! Can Jackson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Sodeman on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Arnold Sodeman!
