Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kendrick Gentry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Galaz Sein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Galaz Sein will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Kendrick Gentry!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Galaz Sein!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sein moves into the clinch.

Sein breaks the clinch.
Gentry could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Sein closes the distance and clinches up with Gentry, looking for a takedown. Sein pushes Gentry against the cage but Gentry circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Gentry takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Sein misses with a takedown attempt
and Gentry counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Sein fails with a takedown attempt.
It looked like Gentry was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Kendrick Gentry has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Galaz Sein.
Gentry slaps away a takedown attempt from Sein, before circling back to the center of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gentry tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sein sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gentry somewhat.

Gentry changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Sein fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Gentry appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Sein is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gentry is defending well.

Sein breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sein shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gentry pinned against the cage. Gentry gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Sein darts in and clinches Gentry up against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Gentry jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sein walks away with a smile on his face. Gentry gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Gentry looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sein is fending him off so far but Gentry persists. Nope, Sein circles away and we're back to standing.
Sein moves into range and lands a nice body kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sein rushes Gentry and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Gentry has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Sein after a bit of a struggle.
Sein goes for a takedown in the clinch but Gentry prevents it.
Sein slows down the pace here.
Sein controlling the action here for a moment.
Gentry wants to take the fight to the mat but Sein manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Sein is looking for a triangle but Gentry pushes his legs off easily.

Gentry decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Sein shoots in looking for a takedown. Gentry tries to sprawl out of it but Sein keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Gentry manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
As Sein looks to move away, Gentry throws a big counter combo but Sein just gets out of the way.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Sein tries to keep at a distance but Gentry has taken the fight into the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Galaz Sein dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Sein forces Gentry back against the cage and clinches.
Sein stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Gentry is working for takedown but Sein is calmly controlling the position for now.
Gentry is trying to drag Sein to the mat but Sein just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Sein pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Sein lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.


It looks like Kendrick Gentry has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sein scores with a leg kick.

Sein fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gentry, pushing him back against the cage.
Gentry drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sein gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kendrick Gentry. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sein jumps guard and drags Gentry to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Gentry has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Gentry looking to sit in guard and control but Sein gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Gentry has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sein has passed into side control.
Sein misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Sein is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Gentry will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Sein breaks the clinch.
Sein looks for a takedown but Gentry sprawls well.
Gentry tries to counter by clinching up but Sein breaks away and moves out of range.

Gentry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Sein is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gentry wants to get back to full guard.
Sein not doing much here.
Sein thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Gentry's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Galaz Sein showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sein sneaks out the side door and pushes Gentry away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Horrible takedown attempt by Sein or perhaps it was just good defense by Gentry, which made it look bad.

Sein will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
As Sein looks to move away, Gentry throws a big counter combo but Sein just gets out of the way.
Sein looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gentry is fending him off so far but Sein persists. Nope, Gentry circles away and we're back to standing.

Gentry tries to clinch but Sein is having none of it.
Gentry leaves Sein with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gentry looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kendrick Gentry has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Galaz Sein is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Gentry misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kendrick Gentry.
Well Sein has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
