PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Raise Hell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hell kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rather Unique - AZ. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Raise Hell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gabriel Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hell under the eye.

Garcia fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hell sprawls well initially but Garcia persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Hell's coaches at Razor Sharp Training Systems have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Garcia is taking a breather. Hell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Hell is staying active underneath Garcia, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Garcia uses his free foot to push down on Hell's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Hell.

Garcia has control of Hell's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hell regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Hell wants to control but Garcia is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hell holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Garcia tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Garcia moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hell has worked his arm free - good work by Hell!

Garcia is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hell knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Hell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Garcia wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Hell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Garcia is looking to take a break and control but Hell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Garcia tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Hell prevents Garcia from improving position.
Garcia trying to control the position but Hell is working away.

Hell wants to control but Garcia postures up.
Garcia taking a break here but Hell is having none of it and regains half guard.
Garcia seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Hell is looking for a sweep. Garcia is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Garcia thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hell's head.
Garcia takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Hell looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Garcia is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Hell is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Garcia with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Garcia avoids the attempt from Hell to control.
Hell tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Garcia fails to take his opponent's back.

A looping hook to the body misses from Hell. Garcia does a little dance to reset his feet.
Garcia checks the leg kick.
Hell punishes Garcia's body with a nice straight punch.
Garcia fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Garcia has taken the fight to the clinch.
Garcia lands a nice uppercut.
Garcia tries to throw a body punch but Hell avoids it by throwing Garcia back against the cage.
Hell misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hell lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Garcia swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hell is working Garcia over against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Garcia digs a right hand into Hell's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hell's gas tank.
Hell misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hell has a couple of punches blocked by Garcia.
Garcia's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Garcia has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hell avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Hell breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A decent looking cross lands there for Garcia.
Hell with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Hell digs a good body shot into Garcia's ribs.
Garcia has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight.
Garcia has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Garcia attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Garcia misses with a looping right.
Hell throws a leg kick
and Garcia counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Hell fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Garcia on the side of the head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hell tries to clinch up but Garcia circles away and keeps his distance.
Garcia lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Garcia throws a body shot but no joy.
The fighters circling - Garcia throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Hell has managed to clinch.
Hell avoiding damage.
Garcia tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Garcia takes a shot to the head.
Hell lands a nice uppercut.
Garcia blocks an uppercut.

Hell works on Garcia's body with a couple of short punches.
A head punch on the inside from Hell fails to land.
Hell is struggling to control the position.
Hell swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Garcia is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Hell throws a punch but it's blocked by Garcia.
Hell is trying to stall.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Garcia as Hell tries to tie him up.
Hell lands a shot to the body.
Hell throws a punch but it's blocked by Garcia.
Garcia has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Hell is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Garcia.

Garcia motions for Hell to come forward. Garcia throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Garcia closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


It looks like Gabriel Garcia has been cut.
Raise Hell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hell checks a leg kick nicely.
Hell dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Garcia. That did some damage!
Hell lands with a hook. Garcia tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Hell slips under a jab from Garcia.
Hell lands with a thumping leg kick.
Raise Hell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hell's jab looks to have found its range, popping Garcia under the eye.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Garcia fails to land with a series of punches.
Garcia scores with a sloppy right hand. Hell should have avoided that one.
Garcia misses with a hook. Hell ducked under it nicely.

Raise Hell dominated that second round.

Hell lands a front kick.
Garcia slips under a jab.
Garcia checks the leg kick nicely there.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Garcia! But no joy.
Garcia fails with a takedown attempt.
Hell tries to counter by clinching up but Garcia breaks away and moves out of range.
Hell fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.


Garcia is rocked!
Hell steps in with a hook that catches Garcia right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Hell follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Garcia looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raise Hell!
Raise Hell decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
