Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Max Hero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devon Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Devon Clark told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Hero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Devon Clark!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Hero does no damage.
Hero catches Clark with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Clark takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Hero scores with a head kick.
Clark dives in and scores a takedown into Hero's guard.
Clark trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Hero is trying to keep Clark in close.
Hero will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Clark is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Hero not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Clark postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Clark content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hero has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Clark has passed into side control.
Clark has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Hero is looking to reverse the position.
Clark controls the position.
Clark tries to move into full mount but can't pass Hero's legs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hero tries to bench press Clark off him but Clark keeps the position.
Hero seems a little lost for a moment, as Clark dominates the positioning.
Hero knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Clark on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clark stands up.
Clark looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hero is fending him off so far but Clark persists. Nope, Hero circles away and we're back to standing.
Hero will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hero lands with a cross.
Clark misses with a low kick.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Clark.
Hero swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Clark keeps the fight on the outside.
Clark takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Devon Clark has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hero tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Clark manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hero scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Clark doesn't seem bothered though.
Hero lands with a slapping head kick.
Hero takes a swing at Clark's ribcage but misses.
Clark shoots in for a takedown but Hero shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Hero throwing a counter right hand but Clark manages to avoid it.
Max Hero has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Devon Clark.
Hero throws a series of strikes that have Clark backpedaling.
Clark throws a sloppy head kick and Hero moves out of range easily.
Clark looks winded!
Hero circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Clark drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Hero follows Clark to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Max Hero!
