Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oscar Wilde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Oscar Wilde! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jake Young! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circle momentarily. Young darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Wilde tries to clinch up. Young clinches up with Wilde and pushes him back against the cage. Young gets control of Wilde's arms and successfully pulls guard. Young will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Young scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Young punishes Wilde's body with a nice straight punch. Young connects with a body shot that sends Wilde's belly button to the back. Wilde is breathing heavily. Young throws a quick inside leg kick. Young forces Wilde back against the cage and clinches. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Young lands a knee to the head.
Young's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Young forces Wilde back against the cage and clinches. Wilde is trying to pull guard but Young turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Wilde with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Wilde takes an elbow to the forehead. Young lands with a short shot to the head. Young breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Young clinches up with Wilde and pushes him back against the cage. Young cracks Wilde with a nice body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Young lands an elbow inside that Wilde shrugs off. Young breaks the clinch.
Young rushes Wilde and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Young tightens his grip and picks Wilde up, before dumping him to the ground. Wilde manages to land in guard. Wilde is wriggling around but Young manages to pass to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Young in particular looking to stall. Young lands strikes from half guard. Still in half guard, Young seems content to control. It looks like Young might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Young looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Wilde with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Young seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Young is continuing to stall. Young decides to stand and escape the position. Young lands with a right hand. Oscar Wilde seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Young shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wilde napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Wilde is rocked! Young stands up and we're back to a striking position. Oh Wilde is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Young lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Wilde up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Young from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Wilde's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jake Young! In his post fight interview, Jake Young started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
