Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cody McKenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francisco Miranda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McKenzie comes to the cage accompanied by Cody "AK Kid" McKenzie - The McKenzietine. Miranda has chosen Peace Sells.....But Whos Buying as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cody McKenzie ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Francisco Miranda! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Wagner Zegers and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McKenzie fails with a takedown attempt. Miranda closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Miranda lands in his opponent's guard. Miranda thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. McKenzie is adopting a defensive guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McKenzie continues to stall. Miranda stopping the sweep attempt from McKenzie .
That's one minute gone in the round. Miranda wants to stand but McKenzie has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McKenzie pulls Miranda in close to his closed guard and prevents Miranda from doing any damage or advancing position. McKenzie wants to get back to his feet but Miranda is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Miranda drops back looking for a leg! McKenzie is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McKenzie manages to kick Miranda off! Miranda jumps back into McKenzie 's guard. Miranda throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McKenzie works some decent striking defense from the bottom. McKenzie keeping moving, preventing Miranda from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McKenzie has control of Miranda's left arm, preventing Miranda from doing any damage. McKenzie wants to stand and escape but Miranda is having none of it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Horrible takedown attempt by McKenzie or perhaps it was just good defense by Miranda, which made it look bad. Miranda scores with a jab. McKenzie drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Miranda throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McKenzie on the side of the head. Miranda instigates a clinch. Miranda is looking to take this one to the mat. Miranda has dropped down and is working for a takedown. McKenzie is trying to keep an underhook but Miranda manages to get the takedown into half guard. McKenzie keeps control of the position for the meantime. Miranda is trying to control. McKenzie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKenzie is trying is best to control the position here. McKenzie is trying to stand up here but Miranda is controlling him well. McKenzie has one foot on Miranda's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Miranda fails to land the takedown. McKenzie appears to be looking for a big counter. Miranda thuds his right hand into McKenzie 's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Miranda is defended easily by McKenzie . Cody McKenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francisco Miranda. Miranda lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McKenzie at a distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miranda closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. McKenzie keeps control of Miranda as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. A short left from Miranda. McKenzie gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Miranda.
Our sources have told us that McKenzie has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight. McKenzie manages to break the clinch.
McKenzie throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Miranda stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. McKenzie follows into mount!
It looks like Francisco Miranda has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Miranda working to try and regain half guard.
McKenzie controlling the pace for now. McKenzie stands up from mount. Strange move. McKenzie fails with a takedown attempt from distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Cody McKenzie will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Francisco Miranda's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Miranda dives in and scores a takedown into McKenzie 's guard. Miranda forces his way into half guard. McKenzie is trying to stand up here but Miranda is controlling him well. Miranda is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. McKenzie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Miranda. McKenzie tries to kick Miranda off but Miranda keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Miranda wants to free his trapped foot but McKenzie is holding on for dear life with his legs. McKenzie is pressing down on Miranda's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miranda accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Miranda passes McKenzie 's left leg - he's now in half guard. Nice strikes from Miranda there. Miranda tries to stand but can't do so whilst McKenzie controls his leg. Miranda drops an elbow to the side of McKenzie 's head. McKenzie is trying to stand up here but Miranda is controlling him well. Francisco Miranda has got the better of the ground game so far. McKenzie is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. McKenzie wants to stand but Miranda is controlling the position. McKenzie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Miranda defends it easily. Miranda wants to control from the top but McKenzie keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKenzie keeping full guard, as Miranda tries to pass. McKenzie keeping moving, preventing Miranda from controlling successfully. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Miranda stops McKenzie from standing up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Cody McKenzie is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Miranda changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McKenzie tries to avoid it but Miranda manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McKenzie to the ground. McKenzie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Miranda misses with a combination
and McKenzie holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Miranda is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but McKenzie is keeping busy. Miranda pulls guard successfully.
McKenzie stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miranda with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
McKenzie instigates a clinch. McKenzie is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Miranda is defending well. Miranda tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McKenzie smiles and moves away.
Miranda misses with a takedown attempt - McKenzie sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Cody McKenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francisco Miranda. Miranda is breathing heavily. McKenzie wants to clinch but Miranda slips to the side and Miranda connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Miranda misses with a head kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! McKenzie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Miranda jabs McKenzie right on the nose. McKenzie blinks but takes it well. McKenzie pushes Miranda up against the cage in a clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Francisco Miranda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Francisco Miranda's cut. That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Miranda takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

enabling McKenzie to counter with a crisp jab. McKenzie tries to clinch but Miranda is having none of it. Miranda throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McKenzie tries to clinch but fails miserably and Miranda counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. McKenzie tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Miranda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. McKenzie moves to clinch but Miranda breaks away and Miranda counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. McKenzie gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Miranda goes for a takedown in the clinch but McKenzie prevents it.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Miranda fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McKenzie looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Miranda scores with a punch to the head. Miranda lands a nice looking body shot.
Miranda throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McKenzie tries to clinch but Miranda moves out of range. Miranda feints the counter takedown. Miranda connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Miranda throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
McKenzie fails with an attempt to clinch.
Miranda swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miranda throws a low kick but it's checked well by McKenzie . McKenzie tries to close the distance and clinch but Miranda swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Francisco Miranda seems to be getting the better of the standup. McKenzie rushes Miranda and presses him up against the cage. McKenzie working aggressively here.
Miranda is trying to break free. McKenzie ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McKenzie no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as McKenzie holds on and takes a little breather. McKenzie is looking to stand up but Miranda isn't so interested in that idea. Miranda trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Miranda is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Miranda throwing strikes from guard but McKenzie blocks nicely.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Francisco Miranda. I think Miranda has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Francisco Miranda! After the fight, Francisco Miranda was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
